HUGE bummer as I really loved these boots otherwise. The foot area is a half to full size smaller, and the calf sheath was too snug. Return was pretty easy (extra $11 charge to do a porch pickup w UPS prepaid label in a city with high UPS use). First time using Backcountry, but ship speed, return process, and customer chat were all good, so I may order other items in the future. So disappointed that these boots did not fit at all.

Runs VERY Small

First, the boots are beautiful, the color, construction, and quality are all spot on. I ordered 1/2 size up since I like to wear them with heavier socks, but I couldn't even get my foot in with a super thin sock liner. They seem very narrow. The shaft of the boot does have a bit of give, it's listed as 16.5", but if your calf is any larger than that, it may not work for you.

Unfortunately , I had to return these boots ...

They were too tight across the toe box area! I do have a high arch, that may have been the problem ... just were to uncomfortable on my feet!

Love these boots!

I love wearing these boots! I am a teacher and these have been great to wear on days I have bus duty or need to go outside for recess. They are comfortable to wear all day and I think they are really stylish! I love that they are waterproof and warm. I usually wear a 9.5 in sneakers, but I ended up keeping these in a size 10 because I found the smaller size was a bit tighter across the top of my foot. Very happy with my purchase!

Best boots I've ever owned!

I have an older model of these boots, but want to leave a review because they are the best boots I've ever owned. I love that they are water proof leather. They also keep my feet warm, which is a tough feat since I've frost bitten my feet so many times. I would recommend going a size up, especially if you plan to wear medium or heavier socks during winter time. These boots also hold their quality for many years - mine are 3 years old at this point and still going strong. Can't recommend these boots enough!

I do love them- I wear them to work

I do love these boots- still a bit tight on the top of my foot but hopefully they stretch out more.

My second pair

I wear these boots daily in the cold months. I purchased the black pair of boots two years ago and this year I ordered the brown pair. I have arthritis in my feet and I can wear these boots all day long and not have regrets at the end of a day. Because if the arthritis I sized up by a half and my feet's are not lost with only one pair of socks. My feet stay warm and dry. These boots resist water and nothing gets through. I'm retired and my days are totally random, no matter where my day takes me these boots are with me for the trek.

This is my second pair! Love them!

I love these boots. I bought a black pair last year. Did lots of walking in NYC and they keep my feet warm dry and comfy! This purchase easy on easy off when taking the pup outside, dressy enough for work, water proof loved them in the first snow fall!

Rough break-in period

Like the ankle version of this boot, the heels are TOUGH. I currently have to heavily bandage my heels and wear soft socks to even wear these shoes. However, I am expecting them to break in just as comfortably as the ankle version. My only really complaint is that the zipper slides down like all the time while I walk.

Not as good as Del La Vina

Not as comfortable as Del La Vina. Toes hit top of shoe more. Not ad much cushion for foot, and no extra room to put in an insole. Boot tends to slouch at ankles, which is very uncomfortable.
