Hi-Rise Holster Short
When it comes to cycling shorts, high-rise waists can be a life saver. They save you from awkward bunching, fabric rolling, and dreaded gaps between your jersey and shorts, so reach for the Terry Bicycles Hi-Rise Holster Short next time you're kitting up, and ride with fuss-free comfort. In addition to the wide, high-rise waist, these shorts are engineered with deep, perfoated pockets on both sides, offering quick and easy storage of phones and gadgets on the ride. They're cut with a 6-panel fit, and moderate compression to offer your muscles support through the miles, while a two-inch fabric leg band secures the fit in place without riding up or creating the dreaded sausage-casing effect. To cushion your sit bones on the long haul, Terry equips the Hi-Rise Holster with a Flex Air Italian Chamois that takes the sting out of chattery roads, and moves with you thanks to its stretchy elastic interface.

My new gold standard for fit and features. The high rise is amazing, especially if you're not into bibs. For a season or two, I was into the halter bib, but that has some downsides, too, like extra fabric behind your neck, and potential for a loose mid-fit if you're only 5'5" but need the XXL for the waist/hips/thighs. The hi-rise is the winner). The pockets are quickly becoming non-negotiable as I will wash these more often and skip wearing my older shorts sans pockets. I keep my phone in one side for much quicker/easier access vs the back pocket (which is also great for a quick volume adjust if you are riding with an ear bud), and I keep misc. items depending on the day's need in the other (garage opener, chapstick, etc.) I wear a women's 16, on the curvy side, and ordered the XXL. It's a perfect fit.
