Conquer the coarsest flint.

Designed for coarse gravel where flint rock threatens to leave you stranded miles from the nearest signs of civilization, the Teravail Cannonball Tire combines exceptional abrasion reinforcement, high levels of grip, and plentiful width to float across loose gravel surfaces. The Cannonball's directional tread pattern features a tight-knit center for lower rolling resistance, with raised side knobs digging aggressively into gravel and dirt surfaces while cornering. Not only does this tread pattern offer a nice balance of traction and rolling speed, but it sheds dirt and debris to maintain grip across mixed dirt and gravel surfaces.

The Durable Casing and Premium versions feature bead-to-bead reinforcement with a woven aramid layer that's twice as strong as its Kevlar-reinforced counterparts. This ensures full protection from ride-stopping flats and sidewall tears when you're pedaling over sharp stones and flat-causing debris. If you're seeking a smooth and supple ride where sharp rocks aren't an issue, choose the Light and Supple casing for the best possible ride quality. All versions of the Cannonball are tubeless-ready, allowing you to drastically lower tire pressure for compliance over bumpy gravel, higher levels of traction, and greater pinch-flat resistance.

Greater than expected!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

I've ridden these on all sorts of mixed terrain (including some ice) and I love how sure footed this makes my bike feel. These are pretty fast rolling too, I never feel I'm pushing harder than expected. I haven't set these up tubeless but plan to in the future. Initially getting them onto the rims was a bit of a challenge but once installed were easy to get on and off after that.

So far, so good

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

True to size

Mounted up tubeless relatively easy, at 45 psi decently supple with very little sidewall bulge. 38 width quoted equalled about 37mm @ 45psi, so they so run a tad narrow. Adequate grip over loose gravel yet tread pattern not overly aggressive to the point of excessive drag on pavement. Longevity to be determined, so far pretty impressed.

Initial thoughts are great

I have the 700x42 light and supple, running tubeless, orange sealant, specialized Hayfield wheels. Just installed today and was very happy with how well they mounted. Completely dry with no sealant inside they took a quick shot from a compressor with the valve core removed. They held air just like that for a few hours. When I pulled the valve cores to add sealant they came off the bead slightly, but I was able to get them re-seated and inflated with a floor pump easily. The initial ride around the block a few times felt good, 40 psi and they rolled decent, pulled some sharp turns in gravel and dirt and they still felt solid. Going to put some miles on them and run the crusher race then will update my review.
