Zero G Tour Scout Alpine Touring Boot

The Zero G Tour Scout Alpine Touring Boot is Tecnica's second-stiffest, second-lightest ski boot for backcountry skiers who want an aggressive downhill ride without weighing down the uphill. Its 120 flex is plenty stiff for hard-charging skiers. Unlike most ultralight ski boots, the Zero G features a new double-blocking, self-adjusting cuff that reduces every kind of play for a locked in feel. Four light Magnesium buckles and a slimmer power strap solidify the boot's secure fit, and Tecnica designed the cuff's buckles so you can keep them latched together on the ascent.

Tecnica built the boot's shell out of a dimpled Grilamid material that bootfitters can easily punch out to customize the fit to your foot's specific contours. The Ultralight fit liner has a comfortable fit right out of the box, and it's backed with a waterproof, breathable membrane to stay comfy when you're boot-packing through knee-deep powder. The rockered sole promotes walking, hiking, and climbing thanks to the grip- and abrasion-resistant Vibram rubber. Unlatched, the Zero G boasts a massive 55°of cuff rotation to provide the easiest ascent possible. It's compatible with tech bindings.

    Thoughtfully Designed Touring Boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have only toured in these boots a couple of times since I got them this season, but they have already exceeded my expectations! These boots are thoughtfully built. Highly adjustable from the thermo-moldable inserts to features like the dimpled boot material that could be molded or punched by a boot fitter. They are really light, but do not seem to sacrifice anything when you are locked in and heading downhill. The walk mode is really great
