Cochise 130 DYN Ski Boot

The Men's Cochise 130 DYN Ski Boot is Tecnica's stiffest backcountry boot for aggressively powerful skiers. A 130 flex gives it an impressive performance in the toughest conditions. Not just tough, the Cochise features a completely customizeable construction for a fit that feels like Tecnica designed it just for your foot. C.A.S. features a dimpled shell that boot-fitters can punch out easier, and they can mold the liner through a quick-and-easy heating process. By creating such a comfortable fit, Tecnica designed the Cochise with a moderately narrow 99 last that optimizes precision for the downhill.

Modern updates to the Cochise 130 include a metal-on-metal walk mode with an impressive 42° cuff rotation for easier hiking. The Power Light Design is 30% thinner and 2.5 times stiffer for the new season. The Vibram rubber sole assists with traction when you're hiking rockier terrain, and it boasts tech inserts for tech bindings.

best boot around

I've put it through the wringer

On my 3rd pair of these boots and they just keep getting better! Comfortable out of the box for my foot, but I still bring them into my local shop to get some minor work done.

Quiver Killer of Ski Boots

I've put it through the wringer

I love the Cochise for it's versatility. I use this boot for backcountry touring, shredding the resort and snowmobiling. I used my last pair for 3 seasons and the liners staying intact and Vibram soles didn't chip away like other boots I've used. I prefer the 130 flex, it's the closest boot I've found to a resort boot that can still walk and provide comfort and warmth.

BEST in-bounds and backcountry boot!

I've put it through the wringer

This boot does it all! I'm equally as comfortable touring in the backcountry in these boots as I am bombing in-bounds terrain. Their C.A.S liner makes a super convenient and reliable fit. You cant go wrong a 130 flex, walk mode, tech-binding capability and a comfortable liner. You just can't. Don't compromise comfort for performance anymore.

I live in these boots and love them!

I've put it through the wringer

The Tecnica Cochise is my holy grail of boots. Their focus is all about ripping on the down, but I can still climb when I need to. From Squaw to Chamonix, I spend loads of time guiding on big downhill terrain, but still need the ability to go up occasionally, and just be comfortable in my boots for all day, on and off snow. The Cochise does this better than any other boot I've tried. There is no sacrifice in downhill performance, while still having technical inserts and a walk mode when needed. 10 out of 10!

2018-2019 Tecnica Cochise 130

I've put it through the wringer

I patrol on these in Colorado's variable conditions. Those of you thinking it's all blue sky 12" pow days have missed most of the season where it's bulletproof groomers or rock hard shark fin moguls. The Cochise shines for all mtn. conditions and tours too. Custom fitting is awesome and after 2 years of punching the toes to over 110mm from listed 99mm there's no sign of failure. The 130 flex is absolutely on the mark as well and puts other boots claims of a 130 flex to shame-Salomon take note as those boots had catastrophic failure where cuff broke away from the shell after flexing to over 50 degrees every time I put forward pressure on them. Only issue is Cochise is a tad heavy, but if the cuff stays attached to the shell after 2 years of FT patrol work on them it's a minor issue. Cochise is very good for all uses, bomb proof, great custom fit and appear to be eager for a 3rd season although I'm handing them off to my son. 8.5/10 rating...very good.
