Worth It

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I was running my regular road tires on the Tacx Flow trainer. It was chewing them up. Plus, I was getting a lot of slip. The Tacx trainer tire is much smoother with no slip and I don't see any wear after several hundred miles on the trainer.

Smooth

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Rides a lot smoother and quieter after replacing a similar offering from Conti which gave me about 2000 miles. Was much easier to install than the Conti however and the blue color means you won't mistakenly take it out on the road while wear from the roller can be more noticeable. I highly recommend performing an advanced or factory spindown after installation.

Great Buy

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I purchased the Trac Trainer Tire to use on my indoor trainer during the winter. I was impressed with its silent running during my training sessions. With this purchase, I will save my road tires which took a beating on the trainer. I highly recommend this product instead of using a road tire on indoor trainers.

Save your tires

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The Tacx trainer tire lets your save your supple road tires for spring while enhancing the ride experience on the trainer. They are quieter on the trainer than typical tires, which starts to offset the general misery of riding indoors. I’d recommend them if you’re going to be putting in serious winter miles.

Very quiet

Little bit difficult to install the first time but is very quiet when you use it

Does the job

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is a nice, standard trainer tire. The blue color was an added bonus and looks super! It seems quiet and hopefully will last 1-2 full seasons of indoor riding.

Good So Far

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Not giving a 5 star quite yet as I need more time but so far things have gone well. I've tied this tire on to the back wheel of a 700x23 reynolds wheel and a cycleops trainer and it seems to run a bit more naturally on the trainer though it leaves a streak of blue down the middle of the surface wheel. No matter, when spinning miles feels as good as this I don't question it as of yet.

This works great with my new trainer. It's so much more quiet than a regular tire.

Serves its purpose!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got this to train through the winter, and so far it's working great. This comes as a flat tire so it takes some effort to get it on. It's definitely quieter than using my regular tire on the trainer. Excited to ride lots of miles on this, and keep my regular tire fresh!

Can I mount these tires on tubeless ready wheels?

I'm new to the biking community & got a trainer for the holidays. Would this tire replace a 26 x 2.2 in? Thanks!

Hello Emily, It would depend on your rim width. Give us a call and we'll get your sorted. Thanks!

Update: the answer is no.
