Great pole, poor grip, funky sizing....

I returned this product before using it

I ordered these with some K2s and some BD poles. Not sure I agree with these being positioned or marketed as an alpine/freestyle but honestly these appear like touring poles. There is no lower lip on the grips, and the baskets were kinda small given their use in an alpine setting. These Swix poles were sized at a 125cm which puts them just a touch over 49 inches. The K2 poles I also ordered were 50 inches, yet the SWIX poles were about a half an inch longer? Huh? On the positive they are really nice looking poles and the construction appeared top notch. As Swix is a Norwegian company with their parent office based out of Lillehammer, perhaps their Nordic design traditions aren't conducive to our US western states bump- skiing rebel mentality.
