My legs sweat in them while getting everything ready in the house. My legs sweat in them on the car ride to the trails. Then they sweat again during the activity even when it's in the 20s. I have other Patagonia, North Face, and Dynafit pants that have much better breathability. Otherwise, they are comfortable, but I'm going to be returning them. One of the worst performing products I've bought over the years.

Great pair of XC Pants

I needed to upgrade to a new pair of XC pants that were less baggy than my (very) old pair and landed on these. I've skied two Birkies ('22 and '23) in them and am delighted with this choice. The wind-resistant front, and the breathable back combo has been extremely effective while not restrictive at all. Another benefit to the wind resistant front is that I have not needed to add any layers below. The leg cuff zippers extend much further up than my old pair, which has been very helpful when used w/ski boots. The profile is slim which has decreased my drag. The best feedback I have is that I no longer have to think about what to wear for a 50km XC ski race in Northern WI that can have wildly varying conditions.
