Ok so this rack appears to get the job done. Instructions are miserably terrible, but the install is easy if you have thin crossbars. I do not. They include enough bolts to fit, but a weird assortment at that. You need 3 allen keys to fit the rack, and they state they provide them but 1) id pay hundreds for an Allen wrench that fits all sizes at once and 2) They included not a single one. Once you finally replace the stock bolts with the extras they provide, its time to throw on the rack! Fits onto cross bars extremely well. Screwing on the thumb screws WILL give you carpal tunnel. The bolts are horribly machined, and are near impossible to screw on. But once you get it is snug as a bug, 30 mins and two useless wrists later. The benefit of this rack is that you can use almost any single bike other than one with carbon drop outs. I have a boost thru axle and finding a rack to fit it was almost impossible without dropping another 60$ on an adapter. This adapter is10$ and is snug, and the rack is affordable as well. Now it has a lock, but you need to use your axle pin for thru axles which does not (normally) lock. So no lock luck here. But I got my sled on and its as trustworthy as much as you trust your front wheel on a downhill bomb / jump track. Taking it at 70mph down the thruway slightly worries me, but I'll post an updated review after some highway time. I trust it...for now. Only slight wobbles when u aggressively shake it, but it seems to be a real snug fit. Now back to the locks. If you had a quick release and planned to use the lock, the thing is light enough to unscrew and take the rack and bike with you, a real double combo for the thief. But you get the satisfaction knowing that they'll never be able to ride again from thumb screw-related carpal tunnel. I threw a ulock around it and my crossbars, where I attach a cable to the bike frame, and that's secure enough for me. For the price, it seems to be a solid choice, but install really stinks if you have thic bars. The benefit is that it'll fit every bike you could own, even my chunky fatbike. If you see a mini on the side of the highway with a bike mangled behind it, honk for a poor soul. But for now this seems to make the cut. 5/10 honestly not sure id recommend
