    Big mean Nate.

The Surly Nate Fat Bike Tire is large, aggressive, and only afraid of not moving. The knobs are tall and spacious, so they clear all manner of trail muck and bully the trail into submission. The knobs also continue onto the shoulders, so traction doesn't suffer when you're riding off-camber and through harrier sections of your favorite trails. The durable 120 TPI and Kevlar bead mean you'll be able to enjoy Nate's aggressive debris clearance for a long, long time.

The Surly Nate Fat Bike Tire comes in the size 26 x 3.8" and fits rims from 50 - 100 millimeters.

    Super Grippy!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I recently bought a set of Nate's (27 TPI) and went tubeless. Best thing I could have done! These tires grip like glue! I have yet to spin out going up steep climbs and don't think I will anytime soon (just a caution, these tires will throw mud back at you, quite violently). What's the fun of a fat bike if you're not getting dirty though, am I right?

The 27 TPI version are slightly heavier than the 120 TPI and the side walls are stiffer, so you'll have to decide what kind of riding you do before making a decision. The 120 TPI will make a wider footprint for riding in snow but they come at a higher price tag as well. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one to be honest.

    Super Grippy!

    Moto Traction!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This tire has an aggressive tread and hooks up well in all conditions. The wide spaced knobs also cleared well in the mud. I've been using these tires in dry loose conditions too and they don't give a hint of loosing grip. I have not attempted to set these up tubeless but have been running them at 8psi with tubes. Check clearance on your frame before you purchase.
