This hat is great for every day wear, or out to dinner, or trying to "class-it-up" going into the office after a morning ski tour paired with a sweater and jeans. It DOES have an adjustable fit band hidden inside. Which is super helpful. It's a simple ribbon with velcro hidden beneath an inner band to adjust the fit. I thought the hat was a little big at first, and then I realized I could size it appropriately. This means you can also tighten it down if you're wearing it outdoors and there's a breeze that would have otherwise knocked it off your head (which was going to be a problem almost every other hat I tried on!)
