So light and soft you almost forget you are wearing a hat. Doesn't get too hot. Great for longer runs in the sun and love that there are vents to cool off. Adjustable.

Eclipse Cap product video

We wanted an ultimate performance cap, so we crammed a bunch of our favorite technologies into the Eclipse. Our Convertible Ventilation™ system covers for sun protection and opens up when airflow is needed. The Clamshell Brim™ lets you stow it away in your back pocket or the farthest reaches of your suitcase. Ear-friendly design keeps you comfy until the end of the road.

Thanks to Backcountry.com and Sunday afternoon for selecting me to review the Eclipse hat for the backcountry.com community. The first positive on this hat is how it packs down to fit into a day pack. Additionally, this thing is super light so carrying it isn’t going to be adding a bunch of weight… a great thing for those who count those ounces! When light rain started to fall, it was nice to grab out the hat, throw it on and keep it off my face. When the sun was shining brightly, it was nice to have a way to keep the sun out of my eyes. When you’re hauling on the trail, sweating and doing big miles, hats can sometimes feel too hot but with the Eclipse hat, my head didn’t feel hot or get overheated. It's really comfortable and the fabric is very soft. The adjustment in the back is great so if your hair is in a ponytail, you can loop it through, great feature. And don't worry about it shaking loose or moving around your head causing you to have to adjust it, because once it's on, it stays put! Think this hat will be seeing a lot more miles in the future!

My favorite cap

I have looked far and wide for the perfect hat to wear while playing golf or doing any other outdoor activity in the heat. It is the perfect blend of function, style and comfort. I have a large, bald head and the large size cap fits with room to spare.
