    Keep cool.

Sugoi knows that riding in the heat drains your energy, which is why it developed a new jersey specifically for the sweltering weather. The Sugoi RS Women's Ice Jersey uses your own sweat to keep you cool so that every watt you have goes directly to the pedals.

Sugoi constructed the RS Ice from Icefil. This material is actually what is called a reactive knit in that it utilizes the moisture from your perspiration to cool your skin. To aid in effective moisture management, mesh inserts were added in areas where heat accumulation occurs, such as the underarms and side panels. A full-length zipper allows you to adjust for maximum ventilation should your morning ride turn into an all-day adventure.

The form fit of the RS is based on Sugoi's pro-level fit. Its raglan sleeves were sewn with a rider's cycling position in mind to minimize wrinkling. The back of the jersey is slightly elongated to ensure complete coverage, and an elasticized back hem keeps the jersey from riding up. Three back pockets hold all of your riding essentials.

The Sugoi RS Ice Jersey - Short Sleeve - Women's is available in the colors Rose Red and Passion Fruit and in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

    Lightweight and comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

Impressions after first ride: I found the material soft (unlike some of the new lightweight materials out there) and extremely breathable over a 4 hour ride on a hot DC day. I would even wear it on a day I would normally do only sleeveless. The sizing runs big but not droopy (still a serious cyclist's jersey) unless you load the pockets (I did and found the jersey slid down my backside further but wasn't flapping at all). I am generally a medium and kept the medium to compensate for the several more pro-fitting jerseys I have. The previous commenter was right - there are actually two larger sized regular pockets, and a third skinny pocket (and more elasticized) that lies along the spine layered over the original two. Although I'm normally quite picky about selecting three pocket jerseys over their two pocket brethren, I actually don't mind this as it gives me a safety pocket for a key. It's sized to also take an air compressor, if you carry one, or a couple of Skratch packets.

    Runs WAY big

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small

Great jersey, love the color and the material, it is super light and perfect for hot weather riding ... I was even considering taking it to a tailor or finding a friend who is medium to large. The "small" is so big that i think it is even too big for someone who wears medium and wants a racing fit. I am 5'7" 125 pounds for reference and it is waaaay too big in the body and even the sleeves stick out by an inch.

    Odd Pockets

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The jersey fits well and looks/feels good but the pockets are weird. It's appears to be 3 on the outside but the inside is sewn for 2 large ones and the middle pocket is layered on top. The middle pocket is smaller than the rest. When you stuff the right and left pockets, the contents shift to the middle since it has more space so it's awkward to reach in for things. And the 2 slits in the's the size of 2-3 finger width so I don't even know what that's about. (The yellow lines on the pic represents how the useable pockets merge.)
