    Only socks you need

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Y'all, I love these socks. I got a 3-pack **3 years ago**, and loved them so much I got another 3-pack. I've got 6 pairs in rotation and wear them almost every day - not even a sign of wear. I've put a LOT of hiking and cycling miles on these, and they're better than the merino versions. They keep your feet drier and cooler.

    Great and affordable

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First great thing about these socks is that they come in a 3 pack, and they are fairly cheap for good socks. Very comfortable, breathable, and they don't stink.

    Nice socks!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M/L
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 154lbs

Breathable, thin, and snug. The best thing about these socks might be that they come in a 3 pack. They are great socks at a great price.

    Love these socks!

    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 120lbs

These are my go-to socks for biking, hiking, and running. They fit great, they are super moisture-wicking, and they are breathable. I love how these socks hug my arch and the ankle-height is great!

    Good, not great

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 110lbs

Great for value because they come has a 3-pack. Good quality sock, however there is some wear and tear after only a few runs.

    Great basic wool sock

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I think these are great socks to have in the rotation. They are great value for the price. If you are willing to spend a lot of money on socks, Darn Tough and Smartwool are higher quality for sure. But these hold up and feel great. Wool is a great material!

    Do it all socks

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M/L
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 150lbs

I have 6 pair of these socks that I've owned for 4+ years now. I've owned a lot of expensive socks (Smartwool, REI, Darn Tough, etc) and these are without a doubt the best socks on the market. I've worn them for trail runs up to 50k, backpacking, hiking, and to work almost every day. They are indestructible! Several years ago I got Smartwool PhD socks for almost $20 a pair and within a few months they all had holes in them. The stoic socks have been going strong for a LONG time and not a single pair has a hole. I also have several pair of the same sock in the merino version and although they are good, these are much better (and cheaper) in my opinion. I hope they keep making these for a long time.

Hold up better than the wool versions

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I've got a couple pairs of these in both the synthetic fabric and in wool. These ones seem to hold up better over the long run than the wool sock since they don't start to shed or pill. These also don't slide around in your shoes nearly as much as the wool versions. For whatever reason they pick up and hold a TON of floor junk. Even after coming out of the wash they've got a bunch of hair and gunk that sticks to them. Not a huge issue for me but something to be aware of if you have a dog in your house

    Ok socks for the price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

These are a pretty good deal for the price but I prefer the Merino version. The fabric is not super supple & we will see how long they last.

I'm a solid 10.5 shoe & ordered the Large, they fit fine.

    Great Socks

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: s/m
    • Height: 5'4"

They fit well, have extra cushion right where it is needed, and they wear well. Great price for a performance sock. I'll be getting more.

    Socks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

They're socks. Not really much to say. Kinda thin, but I haven't worn any holes in them yet and I've worn them quite a few times. good price for a 3 pack

    Comfortable on my feet

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I started running with these socks, I like that they are thin and breathable. They aren't too thin that they fall apart, but they aren't to thick to bunch up in my shoes or make my feet sweat. The socks come up above my ankles a couple inches, which is nice for wearing them with boots or other higher ankle shoes. I wear a size 11.5 shoe and bought a large. Good deal for a few pairs of great socks!

    Stoic on my feet too?!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Really like these socks, they are comfortable, breathe/dry nicely, and fit well. They come up over my ankles so they go well with hiking boots. Not a ton of padding, but plenty for me. I like the synthetic version much better than the merino version because the synthetic version stretches better. I found that the merino version has no stretch to them so I was always having to peel them on/off; what a pain! Also the merino wool yarn does fall out sooner than the synthetic yarn, so after repeated washing's the synthetic version will have less "skin" showing through when being worn.

    Great socks

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Fit snug, good cushion, high enough that the heel of ur shoe won't dig in, dries quickly, doesn't smell. What else do u need out of outdoors socks. I use them for hiking, warm weather hunting, and fishing. Can prob use them for running too. And yes they have an R and L on the toes...

    Better than cotton socks...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I needed some inexpensive socks to use in my leather work boots as the cotton ones I was wearing were stinking pretty bad by the end of the day. These (along with some foot powder) keep my feet much drier and less stinky. If you want to spend more money then go for marino wool but if you are budget minded and still want something better than cotton...these will make you happy. Colors are cool too and I like using them with my MTB shoes. I am like a mens size 10-11 and I got the M/L.

    Not my favorite

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I got these as well as the Merino Comp Trail Socks and I would recommend spending the extra money on the merino. These are comfortable but my feet seem to sweat a lot more with these socks.

The length isn't my favorite either, it isn't quite long enough for my mid hiking boots.

    Good, but not great

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Good socks, good moisture control. Merino wool ones are ten fold better. They are a bad length, not tall enough for boots, but to tall for runners. I have the short ones too and those are awesome.

Great socks - will you get them in...

Great socks - will you get them in black?

    Best Answer

I doubt we will ever see these socks in once single color, Stoic likes to be bright and they intentionally change the colors with the thickness of the sock. Besides, we have enough of these socks in stock that I could wear a new pair every day for the next 3 years and we still wouldn't run out. I can imagine getting any new stock in anytime soon.
