George Michael was right. I’m never going to dance again.
I loved the look of this shirt, and the price was banging on sale, so I bought one thinking I'd use it for a layer over my shirt whilst mountain biking in the relatively mild SoCal winters.
I'm a broad shouldered fellow and generally built pretty thickly, but an XL fits me nicely in almost every brand.
The shirt arrived and the cut was strange, tight through the shoulders and arms and the arms even felt a touch short. I sent it back and likely won't gamble on Stoic again.
I looked at Basin & Range for a replacement, but the "strange cut and fit" reviews seem to be prevalent there as well, and they are priced similarly to Patagonia, which I can always depend on for fit and quality.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Purchased as a gift, so far nothing but good reviews. Will update with any further information.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is Jes' husband, she got me this as a flannel for warm day snowboard park laps. Because of that I sized up to XL when I usually wear M, so I can't comment on fit...but the XL is actually really comfy to wear over stuff and not ridiculously big for me. So it's likely true to size-ish?
This thing is great value though, it's a medium-light flannel and very soft. Colors are nice and dark, I'd say it's accurately represented in the picture. There is some diagonal black line texture going through most of the color panels to give it some deepness.
It's still not a top tier flannel quality, there are some loose/long threads, but it is an extremely good value and for the price nothing to complain about. I definitely recommend it for the value, I'm constantly wearing it around the house it's that soft.
