I am between sizes small and medium. Medium petite is usually the best size. Because of the reviews, I bought a medium, which fits me well. However, the jacket is very heavy. My shoulder doesn't feel comfortable with it. Also, I don't like the material; it feels cheap. Another complain is the zipper pockets are small, and the zippers scratch your hands every time you put your hands inside. Because of that, I return it.
