Merino Blend Baselayer Bottom

The Stoic Merino Blend Baselayer Bottom features a blend of merino wool and polyester that's both toasty and strong, a good layering piece for ripping groomers at the resort or taking peaceful hikes in the snow. Wool helps regulate your body temperature, is odor-resistant, and naturally breathable, while polyester enhances the fabric's durability and helps to wick moisture away from your skin.

Definitely not wearable.

It doesn't matter what size you get, this will not fit any normal shaped human. We tried both small and medium and found that the completely rigid unstretchy fabric was cut way too short and tight in the legs with a large waist section. I think this was an error in the manufacturing, but it is surprising to me with the number of poor reviews that backcountry keeps this available for sale.

The sizing chart is not accurate, and since there is no stretch, there's little margin for error.

Too small

Bummed that these are so small, I wear a large in all my other bottoms and these barely fit over my thighs. I made the rookie mistake of taking these on a backpacking trip without trying them on first. Seems like they would be great a size or two larger.

Sizing is awful. I wear a medium in every other brand and I can barely get these over my thighs. They stop at mid calf and have zero stretch built into the fabric. I can not bend my knees while wearing them.

It seems the sizing guide needs a serious accuracy check. I order small for cycling shorts, sweats, base layer tights, and thermal running / hiking tights so I ordered a small in these guys. They would be small on a 6th-grade boy. After forcing them on over my calves and thighs I had to work them up to get the waist band even close to my waist. Once I had them "on" they functioned perfectly as a pair of extremely tight, compression 3/4 base layer tights. On the bright side; I have 3 tops of the same fabric and they preform perfectly in the cold New Hampshire winter.

Buy one size up

Definitely go one size up on these. The fit is very tight and short. I have a 32? waist and usually take a medium in every other company?s pant. I feel that the return policy should be waived for this product since it?s apparently sized incorrectly. Please credit me the $6.99 return fee.

Base layer bottoms

Size Bought:
L

These should be nice feeling base layers but they have no stretch, are stiff and picky. Plus they are kind of short. For men?s Large size bottoms too they are quite small compared to other brands. If I?m Able to return them, seeing as I ordered them early for Christmas, I will.

Sorry, no thanks.

This material, whatever it is, has almost ZERO FLEX. I bought these for bicycle commuting / wearing for factory work and they're NOT USABLE. The inflexibility causes 2 major problems: (1) inhibits range of motion on my legs (HUGE problem, even on the 3/4 pant); and (2) The legs gradually ride up so you have to keep pulling them back down (on the 3/4 pant); AND the waist rides down so you have to keep pulling it back up. Bought 2 separate pairs of these, and can't use either one - both have the same problems.
