    Nice shirt

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 200lbs

This shirt that I received fits nicely. I am a little longer in the torso so maybe that's why it does not seem extra long. The shirt is more of a medium weight than a heavy weight. Initial impression is a good shirt for on sale price. Would recommend.

Not for average height - to long

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I am 5'10". 175lb. I ordered a medium. The color and fabric are very nice. The cut of the torso is tailored which I also like. I am returning because the sleeves are about 2 inches to long, like 36" or longer and the tail is really long, about 3 inches longer than comprable shirts. If your tall and thin you may really like this fit, not so much for an average height.

Great Fabric but Odd Fit--Maybe Adequate

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium

I wanted to love this shirt. As others have mentioned, the fabric is great--soft, thick, and sturdy. It would easily hold up to sledding with your nephews. Color (dark grey--product pics were accurate for me) was good, too. In addition to still being a little large despite accounting for reviews and ordering a M, for me other parts of the fit were off. It's a regular cut through the body (as opposed to slim or skinny), but the arms were super baggy (I'm in decent shape, but think lumberjack on steroids), and the shirt was very long for a 40R torso, despite being an outdoor/overshirt that most people probably wouldn't tuck in. I actually considered trying to cut a couple inches off the hem and then shrink it in the washer because the fabric is fantastic for the sale price, but ended up returning instead.

    Thick and warm

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Ex lge
    • Height: 6'1"

I bought a shirt like this 40 years ago for my husband. I haven’t been able to find anything as thick and warm as it until this shirt. My husband is very happy with it.

NOT A BIG FIT ... for me!

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: L
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 220lbs

    A 5 Star Shirt with a 3 Star FIT.
I wear lots of flannel shirts in various brands & always buy size XL ... Perfect!
Having never bought the STOIC brand before I was greatly influenced by the feedback of no less than 10 other customers at the time of purchase who had reported that these shirts run big ... so buy a smaller size!
One reviewer in particular, (# Headband), who is almost exactly my height & weight bought Size XL & reported that ... " it does run +1 size larger".
It was this report that clinched my decision and so I bought 4 shirts in the full range of colors, Size L.
BIG MISTAKE on my part. Way too small - too short in the sleeves, too narrow across the shoulders, too tight across the chest & too squeezy around the gut. Furthermore, too expensive to return from Australia, so 4 new shirts on their way to some other guys who are in fact smaller but think they are bigger.

    So Nice I Bought Twice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 175lbs

After some heavy abuse I tore the elbow out in the flannel. I loved it some much that I ended picking up a second one so that I didn't have to lose it from my wardrobe. I use this thing all the time and the material and fit are great. I'm 6'2" 175 lbs and I wear a L.

    Little big

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love these shirts but this one ran a little bigger than most the other stoic shirts I have. Good to keep in mind when ordering.

Great shirt at a great price

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

I bought this shirt as a gift for my brother. A great classic shirt - high quality at an unbeatable price! Does run a bit large.

    Super Soft, Large Fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I bought this shirt for hanging around the house. It is a medium to heavy weight and super soft! The fit is large for sure, but I dont mind that since I am just using it for hanging around the house or working on work around the house. I probably could fit in a small but I bet the sleeves would be short at that point. The medium fits baggy for sure.

    Very comfortable

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 175lbs

This heavy weight shirt is great to have around. It does run big, so you can layer underneath if you want.

    Great for tall guys

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'4"
    • Weight: 190lbs

My bought this shirt for my father-in-law who likes roomie, long shirts and this product was a HUGE hit! He wore it for 2 days straight and couldn't stop talking about how soft the material is. He really likes LL Bean Chamois fabric, and the fabric in this Stoic shirt is indistinguishable from it. This shirt runs large in the width as well as the length.

    Runs large.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 180lbs

The material is awesome thick and soft. The overall fit, however, is a little large but I've come to recognize that with Stoic. The brand is truly the best bang for your buck when it comes to quality but if you are looking for a more modern cut or fit look elsewhere. Overall this is a shit that can take a beating at a price that doesn't break the bank.

    Unbeatable Value

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 225lbs

I love the Stoic stuff for their unbeatable value. If you're willing to do a little compromising on a perfect fit then these are a great option. They tend to fit a little odd; this one for example is very roomy in the arms, shoulders and chest then tapers quite bit toward the base of the shirt. If you're jacked up top like an ultimate triangle with an average waistline, this is a great fit. For the rest of us, it's a great shirt that you can afford to scrape, stain, ding and tear up without it ruining your day because you didn't drop $120 on this very nice, pretty good fitting chamy shirt.
Would buy again. Does run +1 size larger.

    Solid heavyweight shirt!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 170lbs

The Stoic heavyweight chamois shirt is a great choice if you're looking for a heavy duty shirt during the winter. Quality material, awesome color choices, I would say this runs just a touch large, but not large enough for me to go up a size.

    Runs Large

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large

Awesome flannel, at a good price, though runs very large. Usually I wear size large, but this ended up being too big in large for me, so I returned it. I would go down a size when purchasing this item. Most likely getting a size medium in the near future, as the flannel is great!

    Dad's New Favorite Shirt

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 205lbs

Got this for my Dad for Christmas and he loves it. He's pretty picky about clothes so I was pretty happy about that. It is a little heavier than most flannels but its a longish and somewhat baggy cut so that's the style he likes.

    New favorite

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 183lbs

This is a great shirt, just a touch heavier/warmer than my beloved Patagonia Fjords, but far more reasonably priced.

The length was a little off to me, felt/looked more like 29" than the stated 27.5", so I gambled and decided to wash it warm, machine dry on low, and it shrunk just enough that I would call it perfect. Taller/long torso guys may fit better straight away. The hem is a very slight drop-tail as opposed to the boxier Patagonia Fjord's. I still wear it untucked and think it looks fine.

The burgundy color is perfect. I may grab the slate blue version.
