Sizes are way off and should be relabled

I ordered down a size based on the past reviews, but it was still way too big. The medium I received was bigger than a large.

Runs really BIG

In the photo you can see me wearing the medium (for reference I'm 5'6", 122 lbs). In the photo the shirt hasn't been washed yet. My arms are outstretched (wingspan of 5'6"). I'm wearing the medium! Washed Medium on hot twice and ran through the dryer on hot. Afterwards the pit to pit measurement was 24". (probably shrunk by an inch or so.) Did not wash the Large: pit to pit measurement 27" Did not wash the XL: pit to pit measurement 30" I mean this is crazy. If you are wearing the XL you are literally wearing a shirt with 60" of circumference around the chest area! I mean, my god. If your chest measures 42" maybe you need an extra 6" of garment to make it comfortable. So you need a shirt with a 48" circumference max. 1/2 of 48" = 24" - maybe you could get away with a medium in this shirt. Nice fabric but not on par with LL Bean heritage flannel or anything. It pilled a bit after two washes. For $12 it's still a deal though.

Big and Tall, and extra Long

Don't bother buying this or maybe anything the Stoic label makes. Bought 3 items, including this flannel, the last button is past my crouch. I'm 6'1" and bought a large as I planned this to be an over layer for spring and fall but this is crazy big. One person said it shrank a lot after a wash but why roll the dice, don't buy.

This shirt was made for "Big and Tall" guys. In fact, it has the big and tall designation on the shirt. But this was not what was advertised. This happened on my initial order with your company, but the shirts were somewhat smaller, and I am just making do with them. I am very disappointed with your company and the way you describe items. The shirts on this order fit me like a tent. I will think twice about purchasing anything from your company again. I purchased XL and these shirts fit like "Big and Tall."

Very long in torso

It's a very soft shirt, and my son really liked the feel, but the torso is extremely long. I bought two stoic flannels in Medium, this one has the same sleeve length, but 4-5 inches longer in the torso. So, if I did wash it and it shrinks, then the sleeves will be too short. Thank goodness for the excellent customer service and easy returns with backcountry!

Not an average fit

I ordered this shirt for my husband as a gift and could immediately tell that the size chart was not accurate to fit an average size medium. My husband is 5'10" and almost always wears a size medium flannel. I compared this flannel to several other brands of medium flannels in his closet and it was consistently 6-7" longer and 2-3" wider than any of them. I will be returning this item. The length is oversized and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are well over 6'.
