It held
Bought this webbing to make anchors canyoning down waterfalls. It made a great anchor and held us on all rappels for us to safely make our way down canyon

Perfect Webbing for Climbing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is the perfect webbing for climbing. I also like the different color options. I cut up the webbing into different lengths based on color, which makes it easy to quickly grab the piece that is the best length for the job at hand. Get a couple different colors, get organized, and make your life easier. You can never have too much webbing. There are so many applications for it in the climbing world. This is a great price for a great product.

Ideal Webbing
Webbing is a must have if you canyoneer/climb/etc. And buying the webbing in a spool keeps it contained, organized and ready for your next adventure. This spool is a perfect size to have if you need to replace some of the webbing on pre-existing anchors, (especially for canyoneering) which is what I use it for.

Great Webbing

If you're looking at this you probably know exactly how many ways you can use it, so I'll just say that this is great webbing for whatever you need it for. Anchors, slings, whatever, it's very supple and easy to tie knots and work with. When you head out of town for a few days and forget a belt, it's also great to hold your pants up... not that I'd know that firsthand or anything. Very economical buying your own spools vs. buying it by the foot, too.

Truly Great Webbing

I used to buy sections of webbing by the foot at an outdoor sporting goods store, then I found the very same product in a thirty foot wheel at backcountry.com. Any climber looking for 1" web knows its uses, its perks and its short comings. I purchased three thirty foot wheels because I do a considerable amount of instruction pertaining to swift water rescue. It was simply more economical to buy a large quantity. This particular product by Sterling is wonderfully smooth, tying and untying like a dream. Someone with an average sized waste can take a 6 foot section of 1" web tie a loop using a water knot double it over and secure it around ones waste with a carabiner as a buckle, this makes a fantastic guide belt. You'll always have a ready made anchor with you for a range of tasks: unpin, rescue or even something as simple as mooring your water craft.

How does this compare with the Sterling Mil Spec Web Wheel? Seems quite similar...

KevinFParker, This is climbing spec webbing and has a different weave than mil-spec. It results in a smoother feeling and slightly stronger product. I just picked up a wheel of the Tech Tape for racking some aid climbing hooks and building anchor straps for my ENO hammock. Works like a charm!
