Evolution Duetto Dry XP Twin Rope

It only makes sense for twin ropes to have reliable dry treatments because climbers generally climb alpine or ice with them. The Evolution Duetto DryXP Twin Rope features Sterling's most recent dry treatment that actually complies with UIAA's water-resistant standards. DryXP practically eliminates water absorption and greatly enhances abrasion-resistance for more reliability when you're hundreds of feet in the air. With 8.4mm diameter, the Evolution Duetto is a mid-range twin rope—not too fat, nor too skinny—just right for experienced climbers starting to use half and twin ropes.

    • Twin rope optimized for ice climbs, alpine routes, and multipitch
    • 8.4mm is a mid-range diameter for half and twin ropes
    • DryXP treatment meets UIAA's standards for water-repellency
    • Item #STE001Y

Best Value in a 30m dry rope.

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Needed a couple 30m dynamic dry ropes for some Alpine touring 2018. These were affordable and fit the bill exactly. Bomber and highly recommended as best bang for the buck.

Is this really a twin? Sterling's website lists it as a half?

Agree with Dennis' question. This is almost certainly a half rope. Sterlings twin series is the fusion photon. I've owned both, and unless they've radically redesigned their lineup he duetto is still a half rope. Backcountry, you need to correct your listing.
