A Perfect Little Boost

I've had Stanley's 8oz vacuum mug for almost a year now, and it's become so indispensable that I wanted to leave a quick review. For me, 8oz of coffee is a perfect little boost - and having the ability to deploy it mid-tour/hike/lift ride is amazing. The 8oz size is nice and compact, so it barely takes up any additional space. Highly recommended as a worthy addition to anyone's insulated mug quiver.

The Go-to for Dawn Patrols

With just enough coffee to get me from my house to the trailhead for dawn patrol bike rides, this lil guy has become my new favorite. Why has this replaced the numerous other travel mugs in my collection? It allows for just enough coffee to get me going, prevents spills, keeps my coffee hot, and most importantly, fits in my cup holder. I love the screw on/off top and the easy-to-drink-from sub-lid. Per the comment below, there is no unnecessary o-ring that'll get gross over time, which also makes it a dream to rinse and clean. While this one has yet to take a digger from the top of my car while pulling out of the driveway, I have the utmost confidence in its durability, because, well it's a Stanley. While the double lid allows you to stash this in your bag with the comfort of knowing it will not leak or spill, you could throw a carabiner through the primary lid and clip it to your pack during travels, which is nice. Not sure what more you could ask for in a travel mug.

One reason I don't use insulated containers more is that I hate cleaning them. Most have an o-ring that you have to dig out and clean, or there is some complicated cap to disassemble. This does not have that problem, as there is no o-ring. You can use the screw-in lid and the sip lid separately or together. Perfect for soup, oatmeal, smoothies, tea, coffee, milk, etc. Easy to clean, no flavor transfer, can carabiner clip to a pack, shove in a bag, etc. Great for camping and everyday use but too heavy for backpacking imo. I just wish there were a larger size. Simple is better.
