Wanted to Love, But Had to Move On

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

No doubt Stanley is a solid name and I choose their thermos for my coffee and and my daughter's hot chocolate on ski adventures over the over priced brands. I have had this for years and struggled with it on car camping trips time and time again, until I needed to move on. Here are the things to consider when buying because it does its job. First, the base tapers in and does not sit well on the camp chef stove or a Coleman stove that I have. Second, the lid does not sit well and is held together with a hinge that seems like an after thought. You need to hold the top when pouring, but have to have a glove or towel to avoid getting burned. Third, the rubber handle does not work; I removed it and did away with it all together. Still makes coffee and my wife has always "appreciated" that I wake up before her and have it ready, so this allowed me to meet expectations on countless trips.

Alright

I decided to go with a dependable name brand product since my previous cheap-one didn’t last one use... Well unfortunately after a couple of uses I noticed a crack going down the straw, it was too late to return. A bit disappointed, maybe I just got a random dud? But for now it still works.

Stanley has a lifetime warranty on all their products and will happily replace with one simple email or phone call.
