Fortunately, the wait is over for the new SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS DUB Groupset, bringing the wireless, electronic shifting to free your ride of unnecessary cables and a programmable new feel when you're on the bike.
Compared to mechanical Eagle groupsets, the Eagle AXS derailleur is contoured around the frame design a bit more. This translates to increased chain wrap, which improves both load distribution and durability, reducing wear and tear on your chain and cassette for better longevity of components. It's also raised by 10mm to afford better ground clearance. A two-clutch system offers a whole new safety mechanism with an overload clutch that protects your geared motor by disengaging the motor all together in the event of an impact. After impact, the derailleur automatically reengages and shifts back.
Upfront on the shifter, SRAM integrates intuitive buttons for shifting and programming to your needs. The shifter pairs with the rear derailleur on a tamper-proof network using both Bluetooth and ANT+ and connects to head units and SRAM's AXS platform. The derailleur can run for 25+ hours from a single charge, and the battery is the same as used on the RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post, while the shifter uses a single watch battery.
SRAM's XX1 DUB compatible crank, Eagle chain, 10-50 tooth Eagle cassette, 34t single chainring complete the group, although a bottom bracket is not included.

I want to love it, but it’s flawed
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I’ve got this group set on two of my cross country race bikes (a Specialized Epic and a Canyon Lux). When it works, it’s great. It’s fast and stable. But it’s super finicky. On both bikes, the derailleur mis-shifts in the middle of the cassette. I’ve micro adjusted. I’ve had multiple shops adjust. I still end up having to double shift and back up one to her to certain gears. Also, one of my derailleurs started to drain the battery, but that issue appears to have been solved by a firmware update. I expect more.

It sounds like you need to add or remove spacer on bottom bracket or your rear derailleur hanger slightly bent. Though I would hope at least one bike shop would catch these issues.

Brilliant as expected
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I really don't have much to say about AXS. Eagle has ruled the roost for a few years now, and SRAM has simply applied their fantastic electronic platform to the groupset. How would you like every single shift to be flawless? SRAM nailed the shifter design, and the oil slick looks sick. I really can't say anything else. I think that it's easily worth the investment, and you'll absolutely notice an improvment in your shifting performance. AXS is king! Hi Kevin, this will be a non-boost setup but the chainring can be changed to accommodate different chain-lines, i.e. boost if needed. Sram chainring offsets are available in 0mm, 3mm and 6mm The boost version is: Item # SRM00G3 on our site.

Was wondering, do you offer the XX1 Eagle AXS Groupset with a 52t casette? Thanks

Can this crankset be converted to Boost if switching to a newer bike, and if so what is required?
