X01 Eagle 12-Speed BB30 Direct Mount Crankset - Boost

It’s getting less and less common to see front derailleurs on any sort of singletrack-shredding rig, and while it’s awesome to shed weight, there’s no denying that you lose a few options dropping down to 10 or 11 speeds. It’s fine when you’re out for a casual cruise, but if you’re pushing for podiums or rallying the Colorado Trail, getting the extra gear offered up by the SRAM X01 Eagle 12-Speed BB30 Direct Mount Boost Crankset’s drivetrain can be a game changer.

The X01 Eagle is slightly less expensive and a smidge heavier than the XX1, but it’s virtually identical otherwise, with CNC-machined teeth that never let a chain drop and a Boost-friendly design that bumps the chain line out three millimeters for powerful and smooth pedaling to go with your wider hubs. Swapping out the included 32-tooth direct-mount chainring for a smaller (or bigger, if you’re crazy) option is a breeze, and the carbon construction ensures the X01 Eagle stays super stiff even when you’re cranking up the steepest sections outside Leadville.
