    My go to

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have been a Smith guy for years and a friend turned me onto these glasses...and I absolutely love them! Great optics, great construction, great look. 10/10 would buy again and probably will when I break and or lose them. I'm not nice to sunglasses.

    Joel Tudor Style

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

These sunglasses are simple, but have just enough style to look great. The shape in person looks like a combination between aviators and wayfarers. Great for larger faces or people looking for a lot of coverage. I have a small face so these feel big on me, but people with larger faces will probably feel right at home with this size and style. The lenses are very nice simple but they do a great job blocking out the harsh rays. These sunglasses are a little on the heavier side, but they come with a wire skeleton and metal hinges for people like me who often break their expensive shades.

One quick note on the black colorway, to me they looked matte black with a bronze logo to me but in person they are a glossy black frame with a silver logo. Spy is well known for having quality products that don't skimp on the details; for example the storage box is very nice and they do come with a small string to keep them on your head. I have started collecting sunglasses and these are some of my favorite so far.

Shout-out to Joel T, a legend in the longboarding (surfing) community.

Historically, I've only bought Smith sunglasses and have enjoyed them thoroughly. However, as fate would have it, we did not have the sunglasses I wanted in stock. After a bit of deliberation I decided to go with the Neptune. While skeptical at first, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall build quality and optics of these glasses. Simple, clean, and just great. A+.

I needed a pair of shades for dress occasions where my skiing/biking sunglasses were not exactly appropriate.

I bought the dark tortoise shell color with green happy lens and couldn't be happier with these. They look great when you are dressed up, but are also really cool looking casual sunglasses.

Two things to keep in mind with these:
    1. The sunglasses are BIG - if you do not have a large head/face I would look for something that is slightly smaller. This is not a knock on Spy, more something you should be aware of when ordering
    2. The "leather strap" that comes with these is really a fake leather string with some rubber loops. It looks like something my grandfather would use to hold onto his reading glasses. Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of Croakies to hold onto your sunglasses instead of what comes with these.

I wore these on my wedding day (on the left) and now wear these almost every day. My little brother (right) coincidentally has a pair of Spy glasses on as well.
