Pro quality without the sticker shock.

Originally designed as a training jersey for the pros, the Sportful Men's Gruppetto Pro Team Jersey offers professional quality, a slim, yet not-overly-restrictive fit, and maximum aero efficiency at an attractive price point. Its Kontatto microfiber fabric actively wicks moisture off your body for a cool, airy feel when the mercury skyrockets throughout your ride. Stretch shoulder panels offer a body-conforming fit, while silicone gripper elastic along the hem prevents this jersey from riding up, especially when you're dropped over the bars. Additionally, you'll find roomy rear pockets that are spacious enough to accommodate nutritional supplements (i.e. energy gels) and extra layers during grueling training rides and extended tours.

Too Small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: large
  • Height: 5'6"
  • Weight: 172lbs

Nice looking but I have more of a body builder body than biking. I wonder if XL will fit? Why are all these size charts bogus?

Tight around the arm pits

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

Ok jersey for the price...runs small, so size up. The jersey looks better when I received then it does in the pic. The only complaint I have about this jersey is that it runs really tight around the arm pits...but once u stretch your arms out to get a grip on the bars its seems not to be a problem. I ordered other jerseys Pinarrelo,Gore and Sugoi and this jersey seems to fit the tightest...but for the price u cant beat.

Another fine Sportful product

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small
  • Height: 5'5"
  • Weight: 135lbs

I own lots of other Sportful kit (gloves, jerseys, shorts, jackets) and the Grupetto jersey is another hit from the brand. The material breathes well in hot weather, and and also pairs nicely with base layers and arm warmers for chillier days. The zipper is high quality and hasn't jammed up on me once through many uses. Rear pockets provide plenty of storage space.

The Grupetto jersey fit isn't nearly as tight as the BodyFit Pro, but it's still plenty racey--i.e., if you size appropriately, you won't have excess fabric flapping around at high speed. I also like the longer sleeves, which give a little more coverage than some other jerseys I own. For reference, I stand 5'5 with a 37" chest and the Small fits me perfectly.

The Grupetto graphics are tad busy, but overall, the design is neutral enough to blend in with other shorts.

As another reviewer points out, this jersey is a high value product. If you can buy it on sale, you're getting a great deal.

Great jersey!!

I bought this jersey on sale to go with my Castelli bib shorts. The jersey is fantastic and durable while its light and comfortable. The colors match perfectly with my Castelli bibs. I'm 160 lbs and 5'9" and although I wear a medium I bought a large and it fits perfectly. I ride 150 miles or more weekly and this jersey does very well. Probably one of the best jerseys I own except for my Castelli jerseys. Love it!! Definitely a great jersey and well worth the money.

A worthy go-to jersey.

Been using the Gruppetto series of jerseys from Sportful for a few years now and they are by far my favorite jerseys. Billed as a training jersey for the pros, the benefits can be had without breaking the bank.

FIT
The cut is excellent and definitely European. I will often size up when purchasing European brands, but I actually stay on recommended size with both jerseys and bibs from Sportful. For reference, I'm 5'9", 170#, 39" chest, average cyclist build (all leg, no arms). Large is perfect. No billowing when standing, and very little in the chest when on the bike. It's cut nicely around the shoulders and the tail length is long enough in the back without being excessive. Overall it's cut so that it feels just a bit off when standing, but it's perfect when in the riding position--just as it should be. This is the non-aero version of this jersey. If you want that, Sportful makes a brother to this jersey.

MATERIALS AND FUNCTION
Placement of the different fabrics and panels is excellent. Great job keeping you cool and dry. Very breathable. Stretches to fit your position, especially around the shoulders and chest where bunching normally happens.

The standard three pockets in the rear do a great job of holding stuff without letting it slosh around. They’re deep enough to not let things slip out. I carry a phone, tools, patch kit, tube, mini-pump, cleat covers, and still have plenty of room for gels and sandwiches back there.

Overall, it’s a great jersey that’s worth the $100-ish asking price. Even more so if you can get them on sale.
