Fiandre NoRain Pro Bib Tight
The tricky thing about waterproof materials is that blocking water from one direction inevitably blocks it from the other. Sportful's Fiandre NoRain Pro Bib Tights are the case in point. Compared to the Team and standard version, they block more rain and road spray, but they do so at a slight cost to breathability. That sacrifice is no big deal on base miles, though, where time spent in the saddle is more important than time spent hammering through intervals.
The reasons for the increased thermal protection and the decreased breathability are twofold. As in, they involve two folds of material on the leading panels. That extra layer of material creates a more robust barrier against wind chill and extra negative space to preserve body heat—again, more important for long, low-intensity miles. For quick interval or hill repeat workouts in cool weather, a lighter tight may be more appropriate.

Bought these as an alternative to leg warmers for mid/low 40s rides They are definitely warmer than leg warmers and very comfortable. Chamois feels good. Used second time today on 2 hour ride, sunny, 42 degrees.

For 40's to 30's, even in drizzle, these are my favorite bibs I've ever used. I wore out my second pair of Castelli Sorpasso, and decided to try these. The material feels nicer, and they look better. No silly peeling letters in logos. I would wear these in colder temps for higher intensity. The double layer fabric seems to work better keeping knees comfortable than the thermo-roubaix, red-ish fabric in the other tights. Fit is a little tight, but also generous in length. I have long legs, and it's so nice to have tights to my ankles for once. I got the XL in these and the fit is tighter, more compressive than the Sorpasso's that I got in XL on clearance a couple seasons ago. Those were getting almost loose behind the knees and but. So, definitely size up if you're in doubt.

Do they keep you dry at all? The common theme I'm seeing is that these tights no matter the brand or how much they cost, don't seem to do too well at keeping one dry in the rain.
