Power Comp Saddle

The Power Comp Saddle differs a little from some of its Power brethren, but that's not a bad thing. It still features the curved, comfortable design of Body Geometry, built around a stiff, carbon-reinforced shell—it's just been built a little more burly, that's all. The Power Comp uses hollow Cr-Mo rails, which end up adding more weight than carbon or titanium, but in the end provide a higher level of durability. And they deliver superior performance in aggressive seating positions.

Body Geometry provides personalized comfort and support that's ergonomic and lab-tested. Lightweight padding is strategically placed to alleviate pressure and assure blood flow to sensitive arteries, in men and women alike. Body Geometry saddles ensure proper support when riding in the correct position, and they come in multiple widths to support differing body types.

Stock Saddle for my Specialized Diverge

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is the stock saddle for my specialized diverge comp carbon and it just really doesn't offer much forgiveness. I've been riding it with pearl Izumi pro bike shorts, and maybe it's not the right fit for me, but I have trouble riding 30 miles plus with this saddle. Will be swapping it out for a Fabric brand which is my go to on my MTB to try out.

Comfortable, stiff, and reasonably light

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have had this saddle for a good while now. I bought this saddle because I was tired of my rear end falling asleep every time I rode with the saddle that came stock on the bike that I purchased. It was a constant issue, and I was tired of it. So, I got fitted for a saddle, which you always want to do before getting a new saddle! After getting fitted I purchased the Power Comp Saddle in a 143mm width. I have loved this saddle, and my riding experience has completely changed. First off, while this saddle is a little bit heavier than saddles that come with carbon fiber or titanium rails, it is significantly more durable, and stiff as well, with its carbon fiber reinforced shell, that is well padded without adding significant amounts of weight. Between the stiff carbon shell, and the strategically placed padding, this saddle is a great balance of comfort and aggressive positioning on the bike.

My favorite saddle.

Height:
6' 1"
Weight:
190

From my husband: Works great for me. I have them on three bikes (road, enduro, cross country). Saddles are personal, but I like the stubby nose. Makes it easy to find the right place to sit.

Decent saddle

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This saddle is relatively comfortable and well cushioned. It is fairly wide especially in the mid section. The cut-out area is very comfortable. Still deciding if it's going to work for me. Favorite saddle so far is the phenom (for reference).

Large side to side curvature

Size Bought:
M/L
Weight:
190

It is shaped like a roof with the top cut off. I wish the side to side curvature was reported as one of the parameters, e.g., like the width. Due to the large curvature the bones sit much lower than the middle, and the edges of the cutout are cutting in. Certainly, saddle fit is very personal.

Stop the Numbness

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've used selle and bontrager saddles with issues of numbness. I had a saddle fitting and the specialized power comp was selected for me. I have used it for 2 seasons and have not had any numbness especially with the longer rides. This saddle saved my biking hobby as I was about to hang it up due to the continuous numbing.

No more pain.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Over the years have been threw a few saddles as body changes and position changes and have always come down to which saddle had the least amount of pain. I tried this saddle and no pain at all took me from being able to only stand 20 to 40 mile rides to riding over 60 miles and feeling great. It may not be for everyone but it for sure was a winner for me.
