Arc Splitboard Binding

The Spark R&D Arc Splitboard Binding feels light on the uphill and surfy on the down. It's one of Spark R&D's lighter options, and it is the least expensive model, which isn't to say it doesn't meet Spark's strict standards for performance. Its Rip 'N' Flip highback has a moderate stiffness suitable for surfing, tweaking, and freestyling the backcountry, and the baseplate is a single piece of CNC-machined aluminum that's been hollowed out for a lighter feel that conforms to your board's natural flex. The Pillow Line straps also have a solid, one-piece construction for durable longevity.

Not just stiff, the Arc is a fully featured binding to make the ascent and descent as easy as possible. The highback has a tool-free forward lean adjuster that you can customize from 0 to 22 degrees in ride mode, and touring mode boasts a staggering -13 degrees for easier hiking. The whammy bar climbing wire includes two heel risers to assist with the skin track's steeper sections. Finally, Spark's innovative Tesla T1 system attaches the binding to your board without easily-lost pins or flimsy brackets. Instead, the binding slides over Spark or Voile pucks and securely snaps in place. This system makes for quick-and-easy transitions as well as a solid ride downhill.
