Why We Like The SOREL Madson II Chore WP Boot

There's something romantic about rainy nights in the city, with cars passing by and people scurrying along the sidewalks beneath umbrellas, doing their best not to let the weather affect their evenings. On those rainy nights, we slide our feet into the SOREL Madson II Chore WP Boot not only because of its waterproof protection but for its rugged good looks and classic styling. The smooth leather uppers are seam-sealed to keep our socks dry and warm, and the Evertread soles ensure we can find our footing on slick streets.

Not my favorite

Sorry but they were not comfortable. Love the Carson but not available in many colors this year.

Sweet Foot ride

Bought these for my husband and he love them. We had to size up a half size since they run a little small. You can dress them up or down and will be a perfect item for take on our travels!

Great boot made even better with a great price.

Fantastic boot, super comfortable right out of the box. Sufficiently wide in the toe box (I usually wear a EE boot).

Great boot with one unfortunate issue

These boots look and feel great to wear. Casual and still a bit dressy at the same time…They are great to wear out to dinner and also out in the rain and snow. The only fault is on the sole of the boot where the SOREL logo is in a dipped white rubber over the other part of the sole. I’ve only had the boots a few months with very little wear and the white rubber of the logo is peeling off of one of the soles. I know it’s a small thing but it really diminishes the overall look and feel of these nice boots. Especially when out and you happen to cross your legs or have your feet up on an ottoman. Picky… sure. But it just is a bummer that it’s that way. Otherwise a really nice boot.

Design Flaw

It is a nice boot for foul city weather and comfortable underfoot. Unfortunately, they fail to cover the top of the heel cup leaving a thin, hard plastic ridge that on a long walk scrapes through your sock and removes the skin from your heel leaving a nasty and painful wound. I hope a trip to the cobbler who can add a leather membrane will fix it. But you are left to wonder who and anyone would make a boot that has a jagged ridge on the heel.

Great Pair of Boots

Those who are half size, size down. I have worn these with thin and thick pairs of socks and fit just right. The dark brown, suede-like material, cap toe appearance makes the boot look professional that you can dress up or down. The boots are very comfortable. Also, I’ve worn these through puddles and rain and the waterproofing is superb.

Low Quality

My sorel boots were great until they split at the heel. They y didn’t hold up for very long even just for everyday office wear in inclement weather. Disappointed that they would advertise these as long lasting when they didn’t even last 2 years under pretty lax conditions.

Not a great looking boot and looks different in reality than the pictures

I bought a pair of these boots in Velvet Tan/Gum in Size 10.5. Point#1: The boot fits well and perfect for Size10.5. (This is my second pair of Sorel water proof boots). The first pair is a solid construction, light weight and I use it for a lot of activities such as motor cycle ride, and all my off roading trips. Works like a charm. The boot as other product is light weight and does seem to cause fatigue for the legs, Point#2: The color and tan shown in the pictures is not what the actual product looks like. I should say, the real product is disappointing with an ugly pale shade of leather. Some lazy guy who didn't want to do any extra work from cow to the boot making, as it looks like. Point#3: The designer for this boot had a crazy idea to add Cap toe to a boot. Seriously !!!!! What inspired you??Inspired by Thursday Boot company. What is Sorel about this product? It looks like a cheap copy of another brand. It looks ugly. This more a soldiers boot than a man's stylish boot. Please allow me to help you with a design for next year. Please don't mess up Sorel boots.
