Glacier XT Boot

Warm enough to handle the coldest conditions on Earth, the Sorel Women's Glacier XT Boot is a necessity for mid-winter glacier treks, Antarctic expeditions, or just daily life above the Arctic Circle. The thick ThermoPlus felt liner and Meltdown midsole keep your feet toasty, and the Omni-Heat lining reflects your heat back to your feet for an extra dose of warmth. A rubber shell and PU-coated upper shrug off snow and slush, and the Aero-Trac rubber outsole helps you keep your footing on icy surfaces.

A feet saver!! Don’t hesitate if you have cold toes in the winter!

I just purchased these to replace my Joan of Arch boots for snowmobiling and I am so glad I did, for the first time ever, my feet and toes were not cold, even in sub zero temps. I use to need wool socks, freezer bags and warmers in my boots and now I only need a pair of socks, this makes me so happy on the trail! I’m normally a size 8, but I had to size up to a 9 (the 8 didn’t leave enough wiggle room for my toes).

great boots with one little problem

I have owned these boots for years. I love them but I find it annoying that the inner felt liner always comes out when I take them off. Once out, the liner is difficult to put back in without having it fold on itself. Otherwise great boots. Well made and guaranteed to keep your feet warm.

Too Big

I will review again once I get the correct size, but I will say that the warning that these run small is inaccurate. I normally wear a size 7, ordered a size 8, and I could easily slip my foot out of them even with tying them as tight as I could get them. Even with measuring my foot before ordering, it seemed like the size up was a good idea, but that's definitely not the case. I now have to order a size 7 and hope for the best. They are comfy though.

Warm, Robust, Fit 1 Size Big

So I am normally size 6 in boots. With Sorel, I size up so I buy size 7 for all my Sorel boots (I've hat the Yoot Pac and the Out-N-About) ... I was nervous but luckily these arrived and the size 7 fits well. Even with thick wool socks. They are big and "clunky" but to be expected for this style of boot. I am concerned about being able to safely drive with them. I have driven with the Yoot Pac, and those are about the same size in terms of footprint. They seem warm and I am glad I went with the Glacier XT over the Snowlion XT which I was debating for a long time between the two. Decided to go with the warmer ones. Won't regret it once it's super cold here. The drawstring seems to loosen up easily and I'm not sure how well-made this piece is so I'm careful as I pull the drawstring closed. Overall, I am happy with how they look and feel and fit. I will post another review once actually using them IN snowy conditions so I can talk about the traction, warmth, and ability to drive safely!

Perfect winter boots!

We live in Montana and weather conditions can be a bit rough in the winter. I bought these for my daughter and they have been perfect! They are comfortable, warm and she can slip them on to walk the dog or any other running around. We love Sorel!

Happy, warm, and comfortable

I have Raynaud's syndrome where I lose blood circulation in my hands and feet due to cold temperatures and my hands and feet will get extremely cold and sometimes even go numb. I need the warmest hand and feet protection during the winter. I purchased these boots in November 2018 and have taken them on several ice fishing trips. I am so happy I made the purchase. My feet stayed warm in -15 degree Fahrenheit weather; something that rarely happens. The boots are also comfortable to wear throughout the day. They have excellent insulation and because of it, the boots fit a bit snug even when I purchased a size bigger than my shoe size. I usually buy a size up in boots to wear extra socks but with these boots I don't need to. Thanks Sorel for making a great pair of boot.

Your feet will always be warm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These boots are not going to receive any femininity awards but your feet will be warm as you trek through ice and snow and that’s what they are meant to do. I like that you can cinch up the top to keep the cold stuff out.

First boot my feet don’t get cold in!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have looked long and hard for a boot for a female where my feet don’t get cold. Finally found it! I’ve been ice fishing in -25 degrees I windshield for hours and my feet never got cold. The boots run about a size small due to thick lining. Boot is comfortable to wear and walk for extended time. It’s a little bulky but that’s necessary for good cold protection. I’m in love with these!
