I wanted to love these. I had been eyeing these for a few months and finally decided to buy them. They are incredibly stiff, narrow, and yet somehow loose in the heal. I have another pair of Sorel boots that fit very similar and they are horribly uncomfortable. I had hoped these would be different, but I guess I just can't make Sorel work for me. Such a shame because their boots are so adorable.

Feet too wide or boots too narrow

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Got a 1/2 size larger than my normal 6.5 as reviews mentioned below. I think that was a smart move. Only thing is that either my feet are extremely wide or these are really narrow. At the largest part of my foot (width wise), they are about 4". My toes were scrunching eachother and were really squished. I think that with leather they would give more room, but the super narrowness (for me) I don't think even the break-in would be enough room. I'm SUPER bummed. Feel sturdy, have great grip, nice size zipper (mine was unusually difficult to zip down/up and I think it must be a glitch), felt like a solid foot bed (arch support).

Run Small But Good Overall

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These boots are very nice. You absolutely have to size up; I knew they were small as soon as I unboxed them. The size 8 fits like a 7 or 7.5. The boots are a nice quality, sturdy, and comfortable. I've just ordered the bigger size, so I'll update the review when they've been tested. I'll be using them for running through swampland, so I need something waterproof and durable. These should fit the bill! UPDATE: Just got them in an 8.5 and they're great. Cozy with just enough room for thicker socks if you want them. Sturdy, feminine, and waterproof. Can't wait to use them in the marshes to really put them to the test!

Very comfortable! My everyday work boot!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Felt very stiff on the heel initially, but quickly broke in within an hour or two first time I wore them. Fit is true to size. Even when wearing thick wool socks. Lightweight. No foot exhaustion after long wear. I literally prefer to wear these every day for work. I Love them!

Nice Boots, Poor Quality Laces

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really liked these boots when I first got them. However, both of the laces broke within about a month of regular use. Since the 'Major' color is pretty unique, I haven't been able to find an adequate replacement for laces, so I'm not even able to wear them at the moment. At this price, I am very disappointed in the quality of the laces...

So stylish

I bought these in Major and they are an awesome color that will go with a lot of different shirts/jackets. I am a size 8 and the 8 fit perfectly. I first put them on without re-tying the laces and the top was a bit big, leaving a gap between my leg and the top of the boot (I have slim calves/ankles) but I re-tied them and they fit snug right to my leg. I have not worn them in cold elements yet, but based on other reviews, they will do the job. I will be purchasing a second pair in another color.

My new go to

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I got these boots in the black color last week and have used them several times since. This is my first pair of Sorel boots and have to say i am quite impressed. Materials feel sturdy and of high quality. Seams are well done. The fact that they are waterproof was the main reason I chose them - and plus they are really cute, right?! There was no break in period - they were comfortable straight out of the box. I normally wear a 9.5 in everything and got the 10, I think a 9 would have been just a tad too small. The 10 will allow me to wear thicker socks once the weather gets really cold - comfortably. I'm tempted to get the other color in these too... haha

I want all the boots

Familiarity:

Got these today and I love love love them. The green is a great color and I may just buy the brown ones and the black ones. So comfortable. I do recommend going up a half size with sorel. Especially if you want to wear them with thicker socks. Can’t wait to wear these out and about. Bonus is that they are waterproof. Highly recommend these boots.

Green with Envy

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I wore these boots for the first time to a place called Tweetsie Railroad in Boone, NC to walk around the cold weather and enjoy the rides and the haunted houses. I was afraid that they would rub my feet raw or be clunky/chunky. Boy was I surprise. They were so comfortable and fashionable! Got so many compliments on them. I ran from the "ghost" in the house and didn't feel clumsy or flat footed. The shoe conformed to my feet movements and I was not disappointed. I got the major green color. They go with more than you realize!

Comfortable and stylish

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I am a fan big of Sorels, already own 2 pairs (Joan of Arctic Wedge II and Joan of Arctic Wedge II Chelsea). I was looking for a pair of black boots without a large heel for casual winter wear. These are so easy to put on (side zipper) and with the essentially flat sole, they are super comfortable. They are super stylish too, just enough flair to make them interesting and different. Highly recommend wearing them with jeans with a rolled cuff or tights!

Is this a good hiking boot?

Hello Elizabeth, This is more of a casual/winter boot. This would not be a great dedicated hiking boot for outdoor adventures. This would be good for walking around on snowy days to and from work, and around the town. Hope this helps! Thanks, Henry
