I purchased this boot because I was sorely lacking a decent snow boot in my wardrobe. I have a very nice pair of hiking boots that I have used in the snow, but they lack warmth and height. I recently got back into skiing and decided to buy a decent snow boot. My neighbor was wearing a pair of Sorels that he had since 1998. Hence I started researching Sorels. I started my research and decided to purchase the the Caribou. I have used them in Big Sky, MT where it was -30 with the wind chill and my feet were still toasty. I used them in Seattle, when we had 12" of snow and they kept my feet warm and dry. I hope they last me 20 years as I live in Seattle and won't need them on a daily basis in the winter. They run large which is true. I called and spoke to representative and they recommended I get a pair a 1/2 size smaller. I was skeptical, but it seems to be true. I enjoy the product and will change my review after I have used them for more than 5 times. Customer service for Backcountry has been outstanding.

I bought this as a gift and the feedback has been great; warm, solid, and comfortable. As others have stated, it does run large, in our case a good full size too large.

Size down
Most reviews said to size down. Those are accurate. These boots are extreme. A bit too extreme for normal casual use but overall a quality boot.

Fantastic boot, kept feet warm & comfortable for hours. While I do not have a negative comment about them, they run very large. I wear a size 10.5 shoe, but I bought a 10, and I could easily wear a 9.5 or even a 9 in this boot.

These things felt like they were about 1-2 sizes too large. I never wear thick socks, but if you do, they might fit better.

Great Sorel boots.

I wear a size 9 in most instances, and these fit very nicely in the size 9. They seem well built, though I have not used them a ton. Shoveling and hiking in single degree weather were no match for these boots, they kept my feet warm and comfortable.

Great Boot
I bought these as a gift for my brother in law, he reported that they are awesome quality. Despite running a full size large (we found out the hard way), they are great quality and a pretty comfortable fit out of the box.

Sorel Kicked it up a notch!

I bought these for my hubby because last year we could not find any new Sorels for the season. So, we got the new style of Caribou and he is super STOKED on them. They fit just like the old ones but don't have the fur cuff on top so his pants can fit over the top. Also has Columbia Omni Heat in them and they are going to keep his feet warmer this year! I love that we got these before they are sold out! Can't forget that they are super slick and black!!! Must have
