Sorel has trouble getting there sizes correct.

Sorel has trouble getting their sizes correct. I have a black pair of size 12 and they fit great but the 2nd pair size 12 I ordered was to small, not the same as the pair I already have. After 2 failed attempts I am done.

Good shoes!

The sizing is slight small but you probably dont need a size up. They are comfortable and good for working all day in an office.

Looks good, but very slippery when transition to indoor spaces.

I like how these look, but they are not fully lined for comfort and warmth - just at the top - and they are very very slippery on indoor floors. Very disappointed with this purchase.

I like these boots. They are minimal and I can feel my feet on the ground. I don’t like big bulky over cushiony boots. I also workout in Chucks. Same feel for hiking and hunting.

Good boot

Bought this in March on accident thinking it was their summer version. Very similar look/styling. They're a soft and supple leather which offer some support, but not a death-grip on your ankles. There is a bit of extra thermal insulation compared though and they were too warm for the summer. However, I've been wearing since September as things cooled down. They are the perfect weight for winter I've found. I wouldn't go hiking in snow with them, but they're great for short/medium walks in lower temperatures and also general wear around town. The construction is good, it's the main reason from my other set of Sorel boots why I wanted these. Not sure about how the waterproofing will last, but I'm confident in the seams and overall integrity holding up for 2-3 years of heavy use like my last ones. The overall feel of this boot is quite nimble. You will feel the feedback of the terrain under you and be able to respond to it. If you are someone used to 1-2 inches of foam or a rubber brick under your feet, be ready for the different feel. Maybe not ideal if you're going to be hiking on jagged rocks or well below freezing, but these would be my first choice for general hiking and backpacking. One thing I have done is put in a 1/4" lambswool insert (though all my shoes get this), which adds slight additional padding and warmth.

Not a Hiking Boot, Lightweight but flimsy. More of a hiking styled office boot

Not a Hiking Boot. As the other reviews have shown, the sole is flimsy and thin. Makes for a lightweight boot but not good support or ankle/foot protection. Sole is flimsier than my wife's crocs. I do not think they will hold up to normal work use around my yard but time will tell.

Buyer Beware

You will need to insert some form of additional sole cushioning. Urban hikers or snow pack use at best.

Not great

Very little heel cushion and cushioning overall, sole is super flimsy and you can feel rocks and uneven surfaces through it. I would say this is much more a walk around the city not the woods boot.
