The cream of the sock crop.

There are cycling socks, and then there are obsessively-engineered cycling socks from a company that already obsesses over the humble cycling sock. Meet the best-of-the-best, the Sock Guy SGX series. Seen here in the Sock Guy SGX6 Black version, the socks provide a compressive fit for optimal circulation, ribbed cuffs for comfort and breathability, and smart paneling for increased ventilation, reduced material movement, and less in-foot friction. Made of a fancy blend of polypropylene, nylon, and spandex, they keep strong the Sock Guy tradition of reinforced heels and toes for durability, too. As cycling socks go, these are genius. Available with 6-inch cuffs in sizes S/M and L/XL. Made in the USA.

    Lasted 5 rides

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

The back of it just ripped while I was putting them on, also not that comfortable, very light and breathable though.

    Happy Feet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These socks are my go to for cycling and skate/classic skiing. Great compression, they don't slide around and cause hot spots.

    Light Cycling Sock

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: S/M
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 180lbs

Material is pretty light and super comfortable for those long rides. They come up just under your calf. I tend to size down for a little tighter fit. I wear a size 10.5 shoe and use the S/M size. Might decrease durability since they stretch a little more, but so far so good.
