The Snow Peak Solid Stake #20 is one burly stake. The shaft is made of forged steel. That means you can pound the Snow Peak Solid Stake into the ground without bouncing off rocks. Actually, the rocks will be crushed. In fact, you could pound these into asphalt if you wanted. They're really that tough. A flat head minimizes slipping while hammering, while a hole in the head makes extraction a snap.

Best Ever - Can't Break Them

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

If you never want to replace tent stakes again, buy these. I'm pretty sure they're unbreakable. They can be pounded into the ground no matter how hard it is. If the stake won't go in, get a bigger hammer or rock. They're more expensive than other stakes, but they're worth every penny when your tent is still securely staked to the ground and other peoples tents have blown away because they couldn't get their flimsy aluminum stakes in.

    Great Replacement

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These are legit. Great replacement for weak tent stakes that are provided by most tent manufacturers. These are solid and will basically hammer right through tree roots and obliterate most rocks you encounter. They don't bend, they just blow through things.

    Skewer stakes aren't for sissies.

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

'Coz they ARE sissies. Get these to find that out. Using a Snow Peak skewer - redoubtable, for a skewer - as a control, on a Tent Pad of Stone, I got it in halfway, with a gym rat workout. Then came the #20s. Two of em, right up to the hilt, with less effort in toto, by a lot, than it took for the skewer. Get these if your stake bag looks like Rold Gold made what's inside.

    Burly

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got sick of beating up my backpacking stakes. Take a hammer to one of these all summer long - you'll probably break the hammer before you break the stake.

    Uber Stake-Small Size

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These stakes are by far the best made and highest quality tent stakes out there. I've used these in ice, hard pan, rocky soils, and even root infested soils. They drive in easy, hold fast, and extraction is a breeze due to the hole in the head. Love em!

    Amazing

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Buy these - they are awesome and very reliable. No one likes a floppy tent caught in the wind.

    Solid Stake

As advertise, the stakes are durable and well built. I bought several of these stakes to anchor several tarps, tents, and poles and they held up pretty well. What can I say Japanese quality

Here's a idea of how strong I think these things are I would say there like Re-bar, heavy solid, and very nice looking!!! Definitely worth the money!!
