Beam Me Up, Sporky!
I bought these ProBars for a 4 day backpacking trip in the Uinta Wilderness Forest. We had to pack everything we needed with us, as there are no facilities and our options for food were very limited otherwise.
I wanted a small, nutrient and calorie packed meal so that I could carry several and know I'd have enough to sustain myself for the trip. These ProBars went beyond my expectations!
To start, they are FULL of calories and nutrients, especially fat (essential for extensive backpacking trips). I'm a small human (5'2 and ~105 pounds) so I don't need as many calories as the next average human, however I do like to eat. I was worried these bars may not be enough, but they filled me up so much that I would split them in half so I could have another meal for later in the day. I paired these with a small peanut butter cup (not reese's) and a 6 pack of crackers, and usually had some leftover for later. I found that I was actually too full if I finished the entire thing.
These taste great too - a little chewy but otherwise I looked forward to eating these!
May the Spork be with you
i always know what spork is mine--the shiny green one that compliments my non essential anodized green snow peak mug. i mean the mug is essential, but the need for it to be green really just makes it splashy and the envy of others around you. i love snowpeak. quality, function, light weight, great lookin'.
#worthit
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The best part of this Spork is that it has not broken on me while in use. I was elated while eating knowing my spork was going to hold its own and I was going to be able to use it not only for my 6 day river trip but for many other trips after that! Worth it.
Spork of the century!!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
My designated lunch spork, super light weight and it's freaking purple??? Doesn't get better than that!
Must have.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I use this for everything! I keep some in my camping gear and one in my desk, The color does wear off a bit over time but that's ok.
Its a spork
It is very light and it helps me eat food
You'll lose it before it breaks
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Like the title says, I'd bet money you'll lose it before it snaps on you while stirring a Mountain House meal. The coloring is beginning to fade on mine but that's not a big deal. It's so lightweight you won't notice it in your pack at all. Last spork you'll ever need!
Shiny Sporks
Colorful sporks pay dividends during those big crew weekends in the woods. Easy breezy to spot mine in a funky gray water bin.
Sporkin
Love the color options for this spork. I use it as my daily lunch spork for work. It bends easily to fit in various containers
Feeds My Facehole
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Snow Peak is always great quality and this simple little tool is no different. This thing is awesome. Titanium makes it super lightweight but still durable. I actually keep one in my camp/backpacking kit and one at my desk at work.
Why buy plastic?
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Why buy a plastic spork that will will brake after 3 uses when you can pickup a colorful titanium spork that will last for years. It weighs close to nothing and is perfect for the UL backpacker or for anyone who likes quality products.
Durable and lightweight
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This spork is great for camping and backpacking. It is lightweight and holds up well. Plus, the color is nice so I do not get it mixed up with other people’s gear. It certainly beats the plastic utensils and the fact that it is a spork means I only need to bring one item when trying to cut down on weight. I would certainly recommend this product!
Beam Me Up, Sporky!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've always liked the idea of sporks, and there are definitely better sporks than others out there. The Snow Peak Titanium Spork takes the cake (literally, I've eaten cake with it. It's nice). It's super lightweight, and it's durable enough so that I'm not worried it will snap in half in my pack. It does the job of two different utensils, so you'll have a little extra room/save a few grams in your pack.
The true test was when I ate soup with it -- it passed with flying colors. All the soup went in my mouth. None of it dripped through the tines back into the bowl. Tummy was happy.
IT WORKS! IT DOESN'T BREAK
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
After breaking my third plastic spork, I decided it was time to upgrade. These sporks are super lightweight and durable. Worth the extra few dollars :)
Love This Spork.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I love this spork. It is super lightweight and very durable. I have no concerns of it breaking like a plastic one. Some plastic ones are a bit more compact, but I have had some break on me. Definitely recommend it.
Sporks are part of evolution
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Using 2 different utensils is so old school. Especially when you are carrying them around with. This is how the spork evolved, this is the go to utensil when you need more then a spoon but less then a fork. I dont use anything else to eat with when I'm out in the backcountry.
Second Time Purchasing
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I lost my first spork, so I purchased another of these. It's lightweight, pretty, and sturdy. Will sometimes dry with color spots. Color will be removed if you put it through the dishwasher.
lightweight
Use on an overnight hiking trip. Worked great
Works!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Light, nice color, and does the job. Sometimes dries with odd color spots?
Perfect
