This split has been a favorite among powder hounds for the past three years, and Snoplanks updated this year's model to be a little more versatile, because you can't find powder in the backcountry during every tour. The Snofish still sports the powder hungry directional shape with a setback that helps you keep your tip up when the powder's waist-deep; however, the board's fish outline now has a rounder nose to help you edge the occasional hard pack found in chutes, couloirs, and wind-buffed aprons. The stiff, poppy bamboo core is strung together with carbon filaments that drastically increase stiffness without adding much weight. Its topsheet boasts a more-complex triax weave for greater torsional flex, resulting in a much more responsive ride. Full sidewalls and steel edges maximize durability that should keep you hucking off cliffs and jibbing fallen trees for seasons.
