    Twice the comfort and performance.

So you've tried shredding in a helmet before, but you just couldn't deal with the bulky feel and sloppy fit. Well, we invite you to give it another try with the Smith Sequel Helmet. This low-profile dome piece offers a comfy customizable fit and lightweight protection to keep you safe on the slopes without weighing you down.

Hybrid Shell design combines a tough Bombshell ABS construction with low-profile In-Mold construction for the right blend of low weight and durability. The 18 vents are completely adjustable via the Regulator system, which can be fully opened on warm spring days, partially closed when temps drop, or completely shut in the middle of a blizzard. A Smith-exclusive Boa fit system allows you to quickly dial in the perfect fit and make on-the-fly adjustments with one hand.

Your goggles will stay fresh, too, courtesy of Smith's AirEvac 2 goggle ventilation system, which moves air through your helmet to keep things fog-free and crystal clear. The inside of the helmet is decked out with a Nanosilver performance lining to fight odor and move moisture away from your noggin, and the Snapfit SL earpads are removable and compatible with Skullycandy audio systems, so you can crank up the volume to get psyched when you're lining up your next big jump or technical line.

    Slight fit problem

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

All in all, this Smith Sequel Helmet works very well. It cradles my dom well, and is comfortable.

My only issue that with a fairly pointed head it doesn't fit perfectly, and tends to lean back. This creates a bit of a gap with my goggles (Smith I/O 7 Chromapop) which is annoying. This can/will be fixed my adding a small piece of foam on the inside of the helmet, and in the past I've seen helmets come with additional pieces to help with customization. I wish this one did.

Got this for the wife who is an avid skier. She loves it. Says it is warm and comfortable, easy to ventilate for spring skiing or for hiking up to grab some freshies.

What you'd expect from a good helmet

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I think Smith is the only brand that actually looks good on *my* head.

Comfortable and durable. Goggles stay put without trouble, audio system too.

No accidents yet, so I can't add that credence, but it fits perfectly and I doubt there will be much shifting if it does happen.

And, in case you, like me, wondered, I think this is basically the same helmet as the Variance, but without a visor brim and much less expensive.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Helmet is great. I love the way the vents are set up. Also the Boa tightening system enables a great fit. I also bought the Smith speakers that easily fit into the ear muffs and was impressed with the whole set up....but...first day using the helmet this year the goggle clip on back popped out in the parking lot...luckily I found it and a little super glue later everything was alright again...didn't feel like going through a return for this...hopefully mine was just a small defect...
