Stellar Shades

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Loved these sunglasses... However, they have a tendency to fly off your face when going warp speed down a river... Blame it on the extra shots of sake, but these shades in the small amount of time owned were not only stylin but also offered a stellar view anywhere I went. Plan on buying another pair, and maybe some croakies...

These replaced my lost chromapop + polarized of the exact same model. The regular lenses are just as good but I do miss the way the color of trees just popped with the chromapop lens. Can't really tell the difference of polarized sunglasses compared to regular lenses. Very comfortable frames as well.

    Great Everyday Sunglasses

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I love these sunglasses. I can wear these all day and not have a problem which is more than I can say for other sunglasses I've owned. Fits my oval shaped face well. I definitely recommend these.

These are pretty nice but not for me

When I first opened these I thought to myself, "These babies are money!" But, then I tried them on and realized they were not for me so I returned these babies.

      My Favorite Sunglasses To Date

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 190lbs

These are by far the best pair of frames I've owned to-date and fit my lifestyle and style appropriately. I wear these every day and get complemented on them regularly. From the daily commute, to the trail and onto the river, these frames are solid. They don't slide around on my face, but aren't overly snug either. The rubber pads on the nose help with that, but the arms are relatively tight compared to other similar frames I've owned as well. This also ensures they don't slide out of my shirt if I've got them off hanging from my collar. I got the Howler Bros. colab with the orange ear pads and I love the pop of color.

Beyond the looks, the polarized frames are great for everything from driving to fishing. Smith knows how to do lenses so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

I'm thinking of getting a pair in each of the other colors as well!

      My Favorite Sunglasses To Date

      Not what I expected.

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: True to size

I received the sunglasses and was excited for the hydrophilic nosepiece and earpieces. When I received mine, only the nose piece had the rubber grips. Also the logo on the side was different than the picture that backcountry has. I would have kept them but they felt very flimsy and cheap for 100$ sunglasses.

      Wayfarer done right

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: One Size - Howler Bro Color
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 155lbs

SO many people have ripped off the iconic Ray-Ban Wayfarer style. I've had Ray Bans themselves and now these. Smith did it right, espeically with Howler Bro co-lab. They fit nicely on my face and the lens is top quality. This is where most imitations really fall short. The nice curve on the arms keep them in place, I've even mountain biked with them a few time. My face would be considered average size, and averagely charming.

      Wayfarer done right

      So here it is...

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

I wish I had these glasses years ago. If the sun is out, the Lowdown are on my face. They have a nice balance of moderate face coverage, comfort and durability. I'll even take them on my active pursuits like running or biking and they stay perfectly snug on my face. To top it off they're also quite stylish.

      Style and Function

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Great glasses. I usually don't splurge on sunglasses since I usually end up losing them somewhere, but these seemed too good to pass up. I use them for fly fishing and riding my motorcycle both activities that demand good vision and sun blocking. Very easy to spot fish in the river or potential hazards up ahead with these glasses. The rubber grip on the nose and behind the ears makes them stick to your head even on the hottest day. Very happy with them.

      Polarized!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

These lenses are super clear! These look great on every face size and shape! If they made me look good they will make you look even better! Well worth the $$!

      Schweet!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I'm usually not one to buy sunglasses outside of the dollar rack of the local gas station (usually because I have a nasty habit of losing or breaking them), but after I had an opportunity to try a pair of these on I decided that they were for me. They fit my face just right and have some of the best clarity with tint that I've seen in a pair of sunglasses in a long time! Well worth it!

      Versatile

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 155lbs

Fits basically every shape head and it still look good!

These are great for everyday use.
I'm a sucker for Smith sunglasses and have several - The Lowdowns are one of the better options out there for the price especially since they're also polarized.

      Super sleek :)

      One of the Best

I love my new Smith sunglasses. They have a great classic look that I wear out and about as well as on the trails. I love them for exercising because they have rubber on the arms of the glasses so they don't fall off my head. Definitely recommend going polarized too. I have never had a bad experience with any of Smith's eyewear whether it will be goggles or glasses.

        Phenomenal Sunglasses

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size

these polarized shades are great, classy enough enough to wear around town, yet still perfect to wear while fishing etc.

        Awesome

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As other reviewers have mentioned, these are great! They have that classic styling with the additional touches of tech. I use these as my day to day casual shades, but also for activities.

The lens quality is awesome, and durability has been good thus far. I actually dropped them lens down on some gravel the other day and was surprised to see zero damage to the lenses. They're still crystal clear. Overall, I'm stoked on these.

        Hard to go wrong

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size

It really is hard to go wrong with these. Pretty neutral/timeless style, very average fit, great quality lenses... these would work for a whole lot of different people and applications. One particularly nice touch that sets them apart is the great grippy rubber Smith puts on the ends of the temples and on the bridge of the nose. This makes them stay put quite well for those who like to get a bit rowdy in their casual sunglasses.

Whether you want one pair of sunglasses you can use for everything all summer or just want to add another sweet pair to your questionably large collection I would definitely recommend the Lowdown.
