Blackout All the Way!
I wanted a darker lens for brighter days so I went with the blackout! It was a great choice. I highly recommend!

Easy To Use!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I love my Smith I/Os goggles, and I did not want to stray from the style. I did need to update my lenses, especially for those really sunny bluebird days. The ChromaPop Sun Black did just the trick when trying them out on one of these. I also bought a new pair of ChromaPop Storm Yellow Flash ones, which always make a significant difference on those low-light days. If you haven't used Smith I/Os before, they are extremely easy to pop in and out, which makes skiing more enjoyable when you have the correct lenses in for the weather!

Covers All the Basics
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've been a huge fan of my Smith I/O s goggles but after years of wear and tear, have scratches on just about all of my favorite lenses. Getting replacement lenses was so easy. Since I'm a Utah native who experiences both whiteout conditions and super sunny days, I purchased the Blackout 2 for the sunshine and Chromapop Storm for low visibility days. While they simply cover the basics, these two lenses are the only ones I've needed all season, and work really well as a replacement set for all my scratched lenses. I'll be buying more specific replacements for other conditions next year!

Clear Lens for the Stormy Days
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
My Mom was having trouble with the Red Sensor lenses on her goggles for the super stormy days in the Wasatch and New England so I scooped the clear lens for her and she loves it. If you have any questions about the best lens tint for you reach out to me and I'd be happy to help!

Seamless integration
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Love Smith for it's passion to make all thing smith seamlessly integrated. Getting replacement lenses for any of their goggle models is so easy and user friendly. I love my I/OS frames but have destroyed the lenses through use. These H/I (high intensity) Yellow lenses are used typically for overcast or nights. The Yellow acts as a filter for your eye for blue/cyan light waves so that you can see all the nooks and crannies of the slopes during low light visibility. Paring this tech with their easy snap on and off goggle technology you have the whole package. I would highly recommend smith for anyone that is looking for a bomber goggle company that makes all their stuff easy to use and pair well.

Easy to use
These replacement lenses are awesome. They are so easy to swap out and they make the goggles look great. Being able to buy multiple lenses is a huge benefit and they make the goggle very versatile.

Love the Gold Sol X 2
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I originally had the Red Sol X lenses, but I scratched them. I replaced them with the Gold Sol X and I love the way they look! Removing and inserting the new lenses was alot easier than I was expecting. The gold color isn't as eye-catching as the Red Sol X, but I like the subtle mirror reflection.

Sweet lenses
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The green mirror sol-x is a sweet looking lens with green and purple tones. Nice for sunny days, great visibility. Red sensor mirror is also really sweet looking and awesome for dark days and night riding. I love the Smith I/OS goggles, I don't feel like I'm wearing blinders.

Easy On, Easy Off
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Clear lenses are great for low vis days or running gates at night -- not much more to say in that regard. However, the Smith I/O or I/OS lenses are durable (especially if you take advantage of the nice sleeve they provide), change in a snap, and can be done with your gloves on. For that, I'm giving five stars.

so easy to use
Done right, you can swap lenses it 15 seconds, I would recommend getting the Smith hard case so you don't accidentally damage your lenses in the backcountry backpack.

Love these lenses!
So easy to change, watch the clouds roll in or clear and you can be ready to go in seconds! Sensor is awesome in low light but still useful as the day brightens up!

I can see now
I ordered the RC polarized replacement lens and they are absolutely amazing. I never knew what the big rave was about polarized lenses but boy do I now. It literally took me 2-3 runs to adjust to the amount of visibility that I had. I had never had the privilege of being able to see that kind of snow depth. The RC polarized is great for almost all conditions, they are not like photochromatic lenses. However, they do a great job of adjusting to varying conditions. I would mostly recommend these for sunny conditions but they do fine in cloudy or snowy conditions.

Sensor Mirror is awesome in flat light
I ended up getting the Sensor Mirror lens for my I/OS. Used it in The Canyons last weekend and it was fantastic in the flat light. I normally use the photochromatic lens, but while it was snowing, the Sensor Mirror definitely gave me more contrast and detail looking at the snow.

Is the color of the chromapop everyday violet lens in the picture accurate? The picture on the Smith website looks very different: https://www.smithoptics.com/us/Root/Men%27s/Accessories/Lenses/I-OS-Replacement-Lenses/p/IS7CPS2

find a local shop to refinish the coating, call smith customer service to see if they will replace them, or get new ones. its just a matter of how much leg work vs how much money you want to spend.

please sir, try cough hard on inside lens and wipe with bath tissue, always use wood base products to wipe lenses. it make it shiney
Duncan Poling
December 13, 2011
Good joke, but no wood products please! A lint free cloth is the only way to properly and safely clean lenses (microfiber).
Zach R.
December 19, 2011
Duncan is correct, Typically the bag they send them to you in is a microfiber bag (using the inside to clean goggles is common). However, to solve your problem you will have to either buy a new lens or ask for a replacement.

Yes these lenses fit the women's I/OS goggles. The Gold Mirror would be a great option to increase the versatility of your goggles for sure!
