I/O MAG XL Chromapop Goggles
The Smith I/O MAG XL Chromapop Goggles give you two distinct advantages on the slopes—they let you see better and they let you see more. Their extra-large spherical lens will give you a wider field of vision for greater safety looking both up and down the hill, and thanks to the ChromaPop lens technology your contrast, clarity, and color will all be amplified to help you get a more clearly defined picture of snow conditions and terrain. Plus, it's also got Smith's MAG interchangeable lens system, which uses magnetic hold points and a dual-locking mechanism to let you quickly switch between the included bright light and low-light lenses when pesky clouds decide to hide the sun for the rest of the day. No matter the light or weather conditions you'll have the clarity you need, while anti-fog coating helps ensure that the only clouding going on involves unexpected snow and fresh turns.

Giving this bad ass pair of Smith's 5 stars even though after adjusting the straps a bit and stretching the straps to snap them around my Jytte wool beanie the whole strap mechanism pulled out of its joint with the main frame of the goggle. So its a pow morning and not only do I have to get my sticks in line but have to go to the B room. Minor panic ensues. Brought extra I/O 7's with me so no worries. Meanwhile I force the lil bastard back into its slot on the frame. It was either going to work or Smith was going to re-gift these to someone else or simply melt them into a pile of goo. Have owned at least 7 pair of I/O 7's and virtually never a problem. I have two pair of the I/O Max that I bought this year and the jury is still out. What I like is the wide field of view and the clarity of the lens. Yellow Storm Flash (however they say it) is the gold standard in my opinion for the soupy days and flat light. What I don't like is not all I/O Goggles come with yellow storm flash. Smith gives you their version of rose or blue sensor (2nd best) which are not as good as their predecessors that seemed to gather in more light. Chromatic may have benefits when the sun is out but imho Smith needs to leave it off their storm lens. All in all I am a huge Smith fan cuz they fit my oblong noggin with their medium to medium large frame designs and no air gaps.

I've had these goggles for a season and decided to get another pair since Smith offers so many different colors and strap styles. The blackout lens provides adequate protection on bluebird days and looks good at the same time. The rose low light lens is also great for when the clouds roll in or stormy days. The fit is large - so if you have a bigger/wider face, they should work great! The lens swapping feature is super easy to use and allows for quick transitions to your other lens. I ski with my contact lenses in, but have tried these on with my glasses and they do fit.

Google scratches way too easy. I would not recommend it based on this. Otherwise it was pretty good.
