Guide's Choice ChromaPop Polarized Sunglasses

You can't catch the fish if you can't see the fish (or so we've been told), so it's not surprising that Smith's Guide's Choice Polarized ChromaPop Sunglasses are ridiculously popular with anglers of all stripes. The ChromaPop polarized lenses are made to boost color, increase contrast, and cut glare like you wouldn't believe, so staying out on the water all day won't burn your retinas, and the eight-base curve gives the Guide's Choice a snug wraparound fit that prevents rays from sneaking in the sides of your eyes. To keep your shades stuck on your face, Smith included hydrophilic Megol nose and temple pads, premium Italian spring hinges, and even a detachable leash that'll make sure you don't spend the day trying to fish your sunnies off the sea floor.

  • Smith's fishing-friendly, polarized, ChromaPop lenses
  • Megol hydrophilic nose pads keeps the grip when wrangling with the catch
  • Anti-reflective and hydroleophobic lens coating for clear vision in bright sun
  • Leash included to protect against the unexpected slippery river rock

The Daily Driver

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I wear these glasses every day, whether I'm hiking, biking, ski touring, or heliskiing. They are just great. The coverage is perfect, the weight is good, and the lenses are second to none. Smith's integrated leash system is a really great way to keep your shades at the ready, while preserving their pristine condition. I used to drop sunglasses off the top of my head or off the brim of my hat pretty often, until I got the Guides' Choice with the included leash. The only bummer is when you take off Chromapop lenses to see that the world isn't actually as vibrant as it looked through your glasses. They're great for sunsets!

Fantastic

Full Wrap to prevent unwanted glare, awesome lense and included retainer strap so you don't loose your shades, insane clarity. Now, if I didn't loose or destroy a set of $200 glasses a year I'd be a happy camper.

An amazing fit and lens

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I do a lot of fly fishing and these are by far the best lenses for seeing fish in the water. I'm on fresh water most of the time, hunting trout and the brown lens is fantastic and seeing through the glare and accentuating the fish.

Best Damn Shades II

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Love these for all things H2O related. Come with a really sick built in smith style chums that attaches to the back. The brown tenting works really well when trying to chose your line down river through some choppy H2O. Snagged the brown and blue tent ones as a replacement for ones that got snatched on the river. Best. Damn. Shades. Period.

Best Damn River Shades

Love these for rafting in California on the Merced and the T. Come with a really sick built in smith style chums that attaches to the back. The brown tenting works really well when trying to chose your line down river through some choppy H2O. To bad they got stolen.

Fake it till you make it.

You don't have to actually know what you're talking about when you wear these shades. You automatically look like an expert guide that knows exactly which fly will catch the most fish. It's a hopper, by the way.
