    New Smith Fan

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    Fit:True to size

I had a pair of Oakley Jupiter Squared sunglasses that I liked. They were polarized with Amber lenses. They were not durable for $183 glasses. Lenses scratched very easily. Replacement lenses from Oakley for $70+ so I was into these for over $250. Well they are cheap plastic junk. I pulled them out of my bag with a broken arm which is just a plastic hinge. I gave up on trying to get these fixed as I can't find my receipt, so I looked for a replacement and came across these Smith Colson with Chroma Pop and Polarized lenses. I searched around youtube, google, other vendors sites for reviews and it seems Smith owners are extremely happy with their products and all reviews rave about the quality and Chroma Pop lenses' clarity and color enhancements. As a Snowboarder/MTB'er/Cyclist I am familiar with their products but never owned any. I received my glasses last night and unboxing them I am not let down. My initial impression is they definitely scream quality. The matte black finish is really nice and the metal spring loaded hinges are awesome. Huge improvement from my Oakleys. I want to mention I bought these sight unseen. In pictures the arms look like they are much bigger and I was pleasantly surprised when they weren't. They are nice and slim and comfortable on my head. I have a raised birthmark on my head that interferes with many sunglasses. The Smith Colson like my Oakleys don't, making them perfect for me. I tested them outside and the clarity and colors were really good. Everything was really vivid. This was at 6:30 PM on the east coast where there was barely light left and cloudy skies. Actually reminded me of an old pair of Maui Jims I had that I lost fishing. I can't speak to durability yet but they seem like a good quality product that will last. They come with the chamois bag which is nice and the hard case along with a cool Smith sticker. The Hard Case is nice. It looks black, but when held at angle has a an Army green shade to it. Maybe it's just my eyes but looks cool. They don't include the integrated laniard and I am not clear if these glasses support it but I think they do. Overall very happy with these and Competitive Cyclist seems to have one of the best prices around on these.

    ChromaPop Crazy

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I didn't really believe the ChromaPop hype until I actually received this pair. I have several pair of Smith polarized sunglasses that I use fly fishing, and kayaking. I didn't think there could be that much difference in ChromaPop. I was blown away by the color contrast and clarity of this lens. it's the only pair that I want to wear anymore.

    Good for my face

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

Very nice!! I bought two actually, first the tortoise w bronze mirror, the fit was the best among all my sunglasses. It feels like it wrap around my face which I like. This prompted me to buy another one in black and copper, to my surprise this one came w a hard case! I compared the box of the two and the tortoise box are a bit smaller and a hard case won’t fit. Back to sunglasses, looks like this model are being discontinued, I might grab another before they are completely gone. I hope I get it w a case as well!! I live in sunny las vegas so wear this everyday!
