For captains of any vehicle.

Smith's ChromaPop+ Polarized Captains Choice Sunglasses serve up optical clarity for piloting your boat through bright waters or driving a beater van in sunny deserts. Unlike standard polarized lenses, Smith's patented ChromaPop+ lenses use film-free polarization for permanent glare-resistance. ChromaPop+ also maximizes colors and contrasts for optimal optics, and there are hydroleophobic and anti-reflective coatings to repel water, smudges, oils, scratches, and reflections. The frame features lightweight Evolve material, rust-resistant stainless steel spring hinges, a wraparound eight base curvature, and hydrophilic nose and temple pads for a good grip.

The Pop+ is worth every Penney!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these for rafting. They come with a really sick built in smith style chums that attaches to the back. The brown tenting works really well when trying to chose your line down river. I like these with the open bottom. Easier to clean and larger field of view.

The Clarity!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These glasses are on another level! Looking through the glass the colors just seem to POP out at you, everything is more vivid and contrast is more true. When you remove these glasses outside everything seems bland in color, until you put them back on. You’ll never see the same again! I use these for fishing and I feel like Im cheating being able to see fish underwater with the polarization and contrast, it’s unreal! Awesome fit, lightweight and can be worn for hours without the bridge of your nose feeling sore.

These are great sunglasses.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are the most comfortable sunglasses I’ve ever worn. They’re lightweight and feel good at the contact points on the nose & behind the ears. I have a large face and they fit me well. The frame says they’re plain ole chromapop and not chromapop+ like the description says but they’re still incredibly clear and have great color so I’d still recommend them. The polarchromic ignitor lenses are great if you’re transitioning between light & dark like in & out of a car. The clarity and color enhancement makes things really stand out. Overall, definitely worth the money at Backcountry’s sale price.
