    Never compromise on curvature.

When you've got the need for speed, grab Smith's Camber Helmet and fly like a bat out of a supersonic underground fiery pit of doom. This sleek, ultra-light helmet is built for sailing PDQ through Smugss' Red Fox Glades, and it protects your melon from tricky booters in the park and backyard.

The lightweight in-mold construction is outfitted with a PC shell and EPS liner, combining two stellar technologies for the highest feather-light performance and protection. Assembled with 20 vents, Regulator climate control system, and AirEvac 2 ventilation, this helmets pushes warm air away from your goggles through its external vents and internal channels—ultimately providing significant visibility in otherwise precarious situations. The adjustable Smith x Boa fit system, X-static performance lining, and Snapfit SL2 ear pads make for a comfortable ride and protects your grey matter, if your edges should ever get the best of you.

    Protects and Vents

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Before the Camber, I had the Smith Maze helmet which worked but, didn't have the look that I wanted. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a helmet but didn't want something that made me look like a Jetson or like I had a mushroom head. I found the Smith Camber and am really pleased with it! It's way less wide than the Maze, and has a more overall sleek appearance . It also has the ability to adjust the vents which the Maze didn't have, and it has more vents in general than the Maze.

Overall a solid helmet that will make you look like you know what you're doing while keeping your brain safe!

    Liner is scratchy

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Great looking. Good fit. The inside liner drove me nuts, though. It's mesh and when you put it on, it scratches your forehead. Not a comfy helmet at all.

    Great Helmet

This is a great lightweight helmet. The liner is warm enough to wear this helmet without any kind of beanie. Has the compartment for bluetooth headphones to listen to music built in, but it needs to be bluetooth there isn't a wire connector. works very well with smith i/o goggles too.

    Solid Melon Bucket

I'm liking this helmet a lot. I began skiing for the first time last season and I'm in love with the slopes. The slopes, however, don't seem to love me yet. Having a history in motocross, I knew I would never go without a helmet and after one time using a nasty, ugly rental helmet, I knew I needed a better option. I decided on this helmet for two reasons: it looks good and it seems to be priced great for the features. The helmet overall is comfortable and the BOA adjustments provide for a perfect fit. The chin strap is comfortable and barely noticeable when buckled but the small buckle can be a pain to get on and off with gloves on. The venting has three settings: full-open, half-open, and closed. It kept my head warm on sub 20 degree days and released quite a lot of heat on the 40+ days. The adjustment switch is also somewhat difficult to maneuver with gloves on and becomes stiffer with the colder weather. The biggest detractor from this helmet are the ear pads. My ears would be kept warm on the cold days but they did not provide adequate venting compared to the rest of the helmet so you would have a cool head but hot, sweaty ears. This would get so bad occasionally that I would have to remove the helmet to cool them off. The worst issue I had with them is that the removable ear pads were too loosely secured to the helmet, coming detached every time you put it on. You have to hold it together as you put it on your head. Once the helmet was on, interestingly, the earpads never fell off. Those minor issues make it fall short of a five-star rating in my opinion.

    Premium helmet, good price

Bought this for my husband, his review...This is a great helmet. It is VERY lightweight and the look is low profile. It is very comfortable and the boa system allows you to really fine tune and get a snug fit. IMO it is a top of the line helmet for less than top of the line price. The brim doesn't extend as much as some of the other more expensive Smith helmets, but there is a smaller brim that does extend enough to cover pretty much any goggles I imagine. It fits well with my Electric EG2.5 goggles, which are fairly large. It came with a free pair of skullcandy speakers (which have great audio quality). It isn't quite as comfortable with the speakers installed in the ear pieces (they are big). But not much of an issue. That's the only negative I've experienced.

    Great Helmet

I picked this helmet up for my first ski trip. I can't really compare it to other ski helmets but having owned numerous bike helmets I can say that this helmet is very light and comfortable! I got the matte gray helmet and it looks great. The ventilation is adequate, my head never felt too hot or too cold on the hill. I left the vents open the entire trip between the high teens and high 30's. I like the option of adding skullcandy speakers in the ear pads. My dragon rogue goggles worked perfectly with this helmet as well. The only complain is that my ears were a bit tender after the 5 day ski trip, but I have a feeling that would have happened regardless of ski helmet; my ears just aren't used to being squished in by ear pads.

I have the smith camber helmet now I need some goggles any suggestions????

    Hey Dan,

Smith Goggles will integrate best with your new Camber Helmet. I would recommend the I/O 7, I/O and I/O X depending on your face size. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions.
