Condensation and fogging in between lenses

This is going to be my second lens replacement of the ChromaPop Photochromic Rose Flash -- fogging, condensation and collecting water in between the lenses. I had it replaced last year and haven't had the chance to use it until now -- the replacement lens has the same problem. It was very frustrating as I paid premium for these lenses. It really put a damper on my experience on the mountain. I wonder if there is an ongoing design or manufacturing issue. A number of individuals have reported it on Reddit too. The lenses are left to air dry at the end of the run.

Great replacement lens - difficult process

Glad these goggles have replacement lenses. I scratched mine mid year last year during a particularly cold day when I tried to remove ice from the insides. It's nice to be able to just purchase a new lens and not a whole new pair of goggles. However, it was a bit of a pain to get them. They were sold out last year and I put my email on an alert list when they got back in stock. I never heard back. Then I started scanning the site mid-summer until they got them back in stock, then I ordered them. Happy to have them though.

Fantastic Lenses

The ChromaPop Sun Black Gold Mirror lenses are by far the coolest lens color imo. They like something Master Chief from Halo would wear. The view from the inside is one of the most neutrally colored tints of all the goggles I've tried on. I don't care much for the purplish tint of some of the other Smith lenses, so it's a huge plus for me that these don't have that. They're definitely dark though. If there are any clouds in the sky, I go with the Everyday Red Mirror or Storm Yellow Flash lenses. Also, the field of view is amazing. If I'm looking straight ahead I can't even see the frame of the goggles in my peripheral vision except for the nose bridge. Some slight distortion where the lens curves down at the very bottom but I never notice this while skiing.

lens is nice. Swapping lenses

lens is nice. Swapping lenses out is not easy, even after the tutorial on this specific goggle. I think it is a manufacturing issue as the tabs near the nose piece don't want to index well no matter how well followed the step by step instructions.

Terrific lens for almost every light condition

Photochromic lens is absolutely one of the best Smith produces. Skiing at faster speeds I’ve found this amazing lens adapts quick to changing light conditions, I/e bright to shadows etc. and does not distort. Outer lens is tough and durable. Of note, on the sliding sunlight scale Smith uses for this lens I would add a notch or two to the bright side, it does work very well in sunny conditions also.
