Its more than 50% wool, and that's what I like about it. Its soft, stretchy, and durable. I've had other pairs of these socks and they last a long time. Definitely going to be keeping these for a while.

If you need the warmth or want to share the love make sure you get SMARTWOOL. My wife loves these on her feet in the winter time. She says they are all her feet need to stay warm and the socks are super comfy.

I started off with one pair I got for Christmas, and now I'm up to 7 pairs. I love these socks! I thought I needed a thick, heavy sock to have warm feet in the winter, but these keep my feet just as warm as big, bulky hunting socks! And I love the colors! They're as much fun as having painted nails in summer time!

Smartwool makes some of the best socks, hands down. I got two pairs of these particular model for the first time recently. I would say that these are really good socks, but they are not my favorite Smartwools. They fit fine when just wearing them around the house, but fit me weirdly when I am wearing boots. I think the extra padding on the soles makes them too bulky to wear in normal boots and shoes. I got them because I live in Michigan and I commute to work, even in the snow. They definitely keep your feet warm enough while outside, but I have to bring another pair of socks in my bag to change into, because they will make my feet sweat all day while inside. Also, the colors were not as great in person. The Bordeaux Heather, in particular, was really not attractive. I have different pairs of Smartwools in all sorts of different models, and they are the only ones I have been disappointed in. All in all, I would say these are great socks by any measure, but I will probably buy another type of Smartwool in the future instead of these.

Great, but not super thick.

These socks have a cute design. And I love the warmth that comes with SmartWool. But they weren't quite as thick and warm as I was expecting. Great for fitting into shoes to keep the toes warm.

I LOVE the Saturnsphere socks. I have had them for, ahem,...6 years and they are still going strong! They are my go to socks for comfort and warmth. They fit on the toes correctly (I can be quiet sensitive with that) and do not slouch. A++ all around!

LOVE does not begin to explain it. The padding on the bottom ,the length, and the way they wick moisture. If only they made the margarita sock with padding on the bottom like this. My favorite. I always hang to dry and they have retained their wonder. Even my first pair bought years ago and washed and machined dried several times still lasts the tests of time. Amazing sock for the fall and winter although you will catch me wearing them always.

Heel Issues

I've been wearing this sock for years and love the cushion, the colors, etc., and can usually get a couple of seasons out of a pair. My only complaint is that the heel part of the sock does not stay on the heel, so the regular sock part wears out. I just purchased two pair a couple of weeks ago, and already have a hole. If I go up a size, then they are too long and the heel hangs out of my shoe.
