Bought these while on sale for around $70. First pair in medium as I do not have longish fingers. The thumbs were very short even for me so I asked for a return for a size large. Size large just fits me. These are slim shaped gloves. The opening to get hands in gloves is a tight fit, with a very snug wrist elastic which is good for keeping cold out without having to tug on a wrist strap. Slightly longer fingers and thumb than size M but not overly so. They are quite warm for their lack of bulk. I recently tried them bicycling in 25 to 35°f weather without complaint. The leather feels tough and looks to be able to wear well. Non leather back appears durable. The lining feels nice and warm and stitched in well with out any sloppiness or bunching. Nice bit of extra leather between thumb and forefinger. My one issue is the side seam running down the pinky side. Instead of one long seam it's like a long narrow "V" shape leather insert ending pinky side mid palm. Noticable to me on my steering wheel as it feels like an odd bit of leather bunching up. Not a deal breaker by any means. But overall they are light, durable, warm and snug gloves that look nice. So size up especially if you have longer fingers or meatier palms. Best endorsement is that I keep wearing them and not other gloves I have. On the return process: the first call went great- I'd return size M and a Size L would be sent to me with 2 day expedited shipping. The associate was very friendly and informative. Two additional calls were needed after not seeing the size large being sent (by looking on my account) and knowing the mediums had been received. More effort and time to clear exchange problems ended up around a couple of weeks. Everyone was nice and accommodating. I do understand that with a pandemic things get slowed down so I'm not concerned about future orders. The issue was resolved and I have my gloves in time for colder weather.

They've changed

I have had a pair of these gloves and worn them religiously for about three years in Michigan. I wanted to buy two more pairs - one as a gift and one as a back up. Unfortunately the fingers are longer than they used to be on the small, and the extra smalls are too narrow for our hands. The new "terry loop" lining is not smooth and soft like the fine merino lining of the past. I'm sure they are still fine for 20-40 degrees, but they won't work anymore for me.

Great quality glove
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I love these gloves. I was searching for a commuter, around town, causal glove for the winter - these fit the bill. The only draw back is don't expect them to be super warm below around 25 degrees (F). Their more fashionable versus serious warmth.

These gloves are awesome, very warm and comfortable and have plenty of room for dexterity. Would recommend to someone looking for a casual winter glove that doesn't break the bank!

I really like these gloves and they fit quite well. The wrist band area does seem to be a bit an the smallish side when initially pulling them on, but once on, they are amazing! I don't have a large wrist area, but they are tough to pull on. Would buy them again anytime these wear out.

First , I would like to say " Comfortable, warm, great grip, and just feel nice on the hand " I work with horses and do a lot of mucking , moving hay etc. , That said , they wore out after 3 weeks of every day barn chores , with holes in the finger tips . Honestly if you want to sue the as I do , Way to Priced for the product . I have a $20 pair of compatible gloves that have lasted longer . Please lower the price and I would consider buying them again .

Comfortable, warm, great grip, and just feel nice on the hand. I love wearing them, and I wouldn't say I am a glove snob. I mostly use them as an everyday glove here in the Midwest winter, but have also shoveled a couple times in them. After about 30 minutes outside in below 15 (F), I was wishing I had a much larger glove. I tried the backcountry.com Wasatch and these are not as bulky, exactly what I was looking for.

My Brother loved em!

So I bought these for my brother for Christmas, and I'm pretty sure it was a hit! This is what he had to say about them: "Aiight, on the real, these gloves are the bomb. I'm from California (which is to say I'm a wimp) and I needed some weather-resistant joints for my trip to NYC. Trying to keep these digits nice and toasty so I can shake hands with any fly females I meet along the way, nahmsayin? Alright, anyway, not only did these fit like a glove (get it?), but they were mighty effective. They looked at that nasty northeastern blizzard nonsense and it wasn't even a big deal. They're not bulky, so my fingers were able to stay mad nimble when counting out that cash money for the street vendors and whatnot. If you're looking for dope, cold weather gloves for under 100 bones, peep these joints right here!"

how do these compare for warmth with...
how do these compare for warmth with ordinary wool gloves?

The SmartWool Ridgeway Glove will be better than straight wool gloves in most circumstances for a couple reasons: 1) they have a merino wool inner that will be more comfortable on the hand than scratchy straight wool, 2) their leather shell will be more water resistant and wind resistant which will translate to increased warmth, and 3) they will be a more durable glove in the long run. Wool gloves are good, bu they don't protect your hands very well from the elements (wind and rain) which is a big part of what makes us cold.
